Christmas Shopping

I found the most adorable notebooks online! They have a plethora of chic colors and even offer monogramming! You can even customize and decorate the  pages! I know that these will definitely be in the gift bags I make for my best girls this holiday season.

I have a feeling that Mercedes and Rachel will love these and really hope they aren't reading this right now.

You Can't Win Them All...Or Can You?

As many of you know, Principal Figgins announced the results of our senior class presidential election earlier this week. While I am sad to say that I did not win, I do offer congratulations to our new Madame President, Ms. Brittany S. Pierce. 

Congratulations Brittany. Rule wisely. Rule fabulously.

Although one election was lost, the Hummel name still remains a force to be reckoned with in the political ring. On the very same day, it was announced that my father won HIS election! I know that I speak for my entire family when I say that we're all so very proud of him. 

We have one election down and hopefully more to go, as long as my father's health permits. With his drive and ambition, I know deep in my heart that truly anything is possible. From Lima, Ohio to Washington, D.C., it's only a matter of time before we gain that coveted title of "First Family". 

Dad, thank you for always pushing me and never ceasing to be an inspiration. I love you. :)

This cold snap is just what I needed to start the holiday season off right! Although, I'm not thrilled that the chilly air will try to dry out my skin. Good thing I always properly moisturize! 

Now all I need is a nice warm fire, a cup of hot cocoa, and my gorgeous man. :)

I had the most wonderful dream last night

For the first time, I was able to fully picture my wedding. Everything was perfect, right down to the groom. While I want to tie the knot by thirty, a part of me is still sad that I had to wake up. I've never had any dream quite as vivid as this one. I can only hope that I'll one day have as wedding as beautiful as the one I saw in my dreams.

A Dish for Your Family Table

In honor of Thanksgiving, I thought I'd share one of my favorite kinds of cranberry sauce. This is my very own recipe and I hope that you'll all enjoy it as much as I do. 

Orange Walnut Cranberry Sauce

What You'll Need: 

1 can whole berry cranberry sauce

1 orange peeled and sectioned

1/2 cup (or so) chopped walnuts

1/4-1/2 tsp orange zest (zest before you peel!)

Combine all ingredients together. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Enjoy!

I saw this today while doing a little Christmas shopping. Why does this remind me of someone?

Meet my mister! ;) Okay, okay...I admit it. Although I'm not opposed to those with a little extra fur, Chewbacca isn't really my boyfriend. 

Chewie and his little Wookie friends were in Columbus this week for the Star Wars Christmas Extravaganza. I had no idea that so many Jedi masters lived right here in the state of Ohio! 

You can all thank my amazing man for making this picture happen. Yes, I love him dearly, but he absolutely has to get my clothes dry cleaned as an early Christmas present. I'm still trying to get the Wookie hair off of this McQueen jacket!
