RESUME (1-2 paragraph AU’d backstory; e.g. why did they decide to teach? are they still a gym leader/E4/etc?): Sabrina decided to go into teaching Psychology or rather, more specifically Early Childhood because of her own childhood. She felt that it would be wise to inform people about this delicate stage of human life. Despite that, Sabrina hasn’t spent much time teaching so she still holds the title of Saffron City’s gym leader. She feels a bit apathetic about the job and kind of wishes she hadn’t crushed the spirit of the fighting type gym that shared the same town. Maybe if there were two gyms she wouldn’t feel so much pressure when travelling trainers came around (but is that legal?). Sabrina is tough and cool but on the inside very caring and it’s hard for her to express that properly since she spends so much time keeping her powers in check. This is a habit that is hard to break, so she likes to keep things in order and follow rules to the letter.

RESUME: Candice became the Snowpoint Gym Leader at the age of 15 after the old leader retired. Because of this, Candice was pretty much forced to step up and not really have a “typical” teenage life. She worked as hard as she could to be worthy of holding the title of Gym Leader, but after awhile it become more of a chore than fun.

After getting her backside generously handed to her, Candice decided to take a sabbatical from being a Gym Leader to focus on herself. She traveled a lot, ending up in Unova where she found herself kinda broke. Thankfully, a well-timed ad for a teaching position found its way to her; Candice applied immediately.

PERMANENT RECORD: Growing up, Leaf had always been good at battling - but never quite as strong as Red, Fire, or Green. She traveled through Kanto for a while, earning gym badges and constantly postponing challenging the Elite 4, not entirely sure what to do with her life. After finally deciding she wasn’t going to challenge the Elite 4 or Champion, she hung around at home until her mother finally told her to go somewhere and actually do something, suggesting a school in Unova she’d heard about.Leaf had always been pretty smart - she often made up for her lack of strength with a knowledge of strategy and type advantages. Futuri Principes seemed like her chance to stop being left behind, and try something new. Bored of doing nothing in a small town, she agreed to go, and left as soon as she could. 

Leaf soon realized that while she struggled with battling, she had a talent for academics. She’s a straight-A student, and prioritizes her grades above all else. While she likes to take advantage of not having to study for easier classes, she refuses to let anything get in the way of her success - even making friends. She’s also a little abrasive, which pretty much means she doesn’t know a lot of people other than her old friends from Kanto. But if Leaf’s good at anything, it’s trying. She knows she isn’t as good as some of the other kids in Battling 4, but she’s willing to push herself to meet their level. She’s not afraid to work hard at anything she wants to do at Futuri Principes - and that might even include making a few friends.

RESUME (1-2 paragraph AU’d backstory; e.g. why did they decide to teach? are they still a gym leader/E4/etc?):

Volkner received the position of gym leader at the age of 17, after the former leader of Sunyshore retired. While originally ambitious and full of life when it came to battling, Volkner grew tired at the barrage of mediocre challenges he received. He quickly grew bored, and began to experiment on the gym- any challenges were denied and trainers were left to receive badges outside the gym. However, his spark came back after one incredible trainer defeated him…

Gaining his charisma back, Volkner challenged and fought trainers to the best of his abilities. Word passed about a Pokemon school opening, but Volkner initially tossed it aside… until he was thoroughly convinced by Flint to join. Now, Volkner teaches young trainers the importance of battle and the joy that it can bring.

Or, at least that’s what he tries to think.

He still visits and challenges trainers in Sunyshore, but only during holidays or by special request.

Ready for the first event?

We love y'all so much, we're rolling out a week full of 'em!

Today (Monday June 23) through Friday will be Welcome Week! There will be many activities to participate in, including:

Club/Team Recruitment

Each club and sports team will have a booth set up in the gymnasium, manned by its members and faculty supervisors. Students will have no classes during the afternoon so they can explore potential afterschool activities. Extracurriculars are a big part of student life, so each student is encouraged to try to find the right club for them!

Student Council Campaigning**

the elections will be a long-term event; this week begins the nomination & campaign process. Even if you headcanoned your character to hold a position in student council, they will need to run for reelection. The elections will take place over the next few weeks. A post talking about the specifics of the elections will be up later today.

Spirit dress-up days. Students can dress out of uniform, so long as they adhere to the special theme of the day. Teachers are encouraged to participate as well!

Tuesday: Wonderful World of Disney  Wednesday: Heroes & Villains  Thursday: Who's that Pokemon? Friday: Doo wop & Sock Hops

To conclude the week, we will be having a live event. Come on down to the Academy's Sock Hop!  This will be our first dance and will be held in our group's tinychat. The link and password will be posted on the day of the event. This 50's themed dance will take place on Friday June 27 at 8EST.

Club & Team Recruitment and Student Council Nominations/Campaigning will take place all week, so you can all begin rping around those themes. The dress-up themes change daily. Of course, if you begin a thread, you can continue to rp events after the real day has passed (i.e. a thread taking place after the dance can continue into Saturday and Sunday).
