Command {Awaken} Testing structural integrity… Integrity = Sound Powering up Core… Core Activated Testing Mobility Modules…. Mobility Modules Sound Powering up Vision Sensors… Vision Sensors Operational Uploading Files.. 10%… 20%… 40%… 75%… 90%… 100% Systems Online. Welcome Leona.

Looking around the room her scanners found no one, not a soul. The room had an eerily green glow. Everything was rusted, decaying, crumbling in on itself. She breathed in through her nose, the stench of blood, and rot fills her nostrils. She goes to move, and is met with resistance. She tilts her head down, examining the wires that were tangled all around her form.  With one quick movement she rips her body free from the wires. She stumbles off the platform, unused to the new legs. She almost falls but her center of gravity returns to normal after a few steps.

Scanning Room… Weapons Found Shield of Daybreak… Functional Zenith Blade… Functional She pulls both out of their wired trap, placing the zenith blade at her hip, the Shield of Daybreak fitting nicely in her new hands. She glances around once more. 

Alone.

Always alone…

Not too long after her awakening, there was the sounds of combat. Of gunfire. Automatics and the spare shotgun blast, coupled with screams and yells, mostly of either pain or induced by combat. Soon, the gunfire would draw to a close, either suddenly or by fading away. There was a knock on Leona’s wall. Then two loud bangs. Then, after a moment of silence, an explosion, a section of the wall being blown off completely, kicking up dust sand debris all about the room.

A figure stepped through, holding on to two, what appeared to be, handguns, a glow about each of them. He was a towering figure, his movements slow and deliberate, his head turning about, as if he was searching, a glow coming from this man’s visor. Soon enough, it centered on Leona, and the visor folded back, revealing a grim, wizened face.

“Awake, I see.” His voice was hoarse, likely rough from the lack of use. 

But it was friendly. He holstered his gun, the left one, and took a step forwards, offering his hand.

“Welcome to the land of the living. Let’s go.”

"Well, what do we have here." She approached with a sway in her hips, and a smile on painted lips. "A little Lucian a bit far from home."

A head tilt as he turned to face the voice. His name was known, and automatically, his ion casters charged, the orange holographic light covering his guns. He had been busy staring up at the city lights, but now his attention was focused. <<”I never truly had a home.”>> he started.

ADVISE CAUTION.

His fingers hovered over the trigger, even as he kept his weapons pointed to the ground. <<”But I do have people that know me by name. The other PROJECTs, and Islers. You aren’t made of metal, so I advise you start speaking.”>>
