imagine the rain pattering softly against the roof as you and calum scroll through netflix like you do most night to try and find something interesting. you both listed out your preferences but nothing could be agreed upon.
“fuck it,” he groaned, sitting up and pulled up his amazon account that had all of the harry potter movies bought.
you didn’t judge his movie choice and you grinned as he smiled like a schoolboy at the opening scene of the first movie. the harry potter series was no stranger to you. you almost cried when you didn’t get your hogwarts letter, so you didn’t feel guilty focusing your attention on him instead of the movie.
his hair was messy from the nap he had just taken because quarantine permitted him from doing anything else, and his biceps were bulging from his tank top and his hands sat atop his stomach.
your heart swelled at the sight of him. you and calum had been dating for a little over a year and you knew he was the one. the way he would bite his lip in frustration to the way his fingers slid across his bass every day made you fall in love with him even more.
without any words said, you slowly climbed on top of his torso and rested your head against his chest. “you’re pretty,” you said so softly you weren’t sure if he heard.
regardless, calum pulled you tighter against his chest and nuzzled his face into your hair. “i love you,” he whispered.
you felt his arms around your back and you smiled against his chest. “i love you too.”
it didn’t take long for the two of you to fall asleep due to the rain, the low noise of the tv, and the warmth of each other.
