Acelin had been up on the roof for the past twenty minutes, waiting for the party to start. These parties were always awkward, but it was a way to get free beer and waste the night away. He grabbed a beer from behind him, the beer he decided he would supply since he doubted anyone else would remember. He looked at Blake who had just walked up beside him. âClearly you didnât,â he nodded towards the box of cokes she set down on the table. âBut, I was expecting this so I did. Here,â Ace said and grabbed another beer from behind him and set it in front of her. âI feel like weâll need it tonight.â
Blake could have easily bought a case or two of Coronas, but she was already skating on thin ice after a close call the past month. She wasn't trying to get caught smuggling beer onto the roof. With a shrug, she dismissed it. "Yeah, well. I can't always be the supplier around here." She took the bottle from him and used her shirt to help her twist off the cap. "Thanks. Have to agree with you there." Blake took a gulp from the bottle - beer wasn't her favorite, but it definitely made her feel better when she needed something refreshing. "Busy week at work?"Â
