born in 448 A.C., lyanna was the second oldest forrester child out of four, born two years after her older brother, colton, and just two years before the unofficial war between the north and the ironborn. she has two younger sisters, one who is one year younger than her and another who is two years younger.
her father fought and died in that war, when lyanna was fourteen. her brother, colton, stepped up and took his place as the ruling lord of ironrath after their fatherโs death. on top of his duties as the ruling lord, colton still fought in the war after his first year as a ruling lord was up and he was better at it.
she was twenty years old when the war finished. her brother returned home, alive, but with an injury that would cause him to limp for years to come, on top of being more prone to disease due to his weakened state.ย
she was also betrothed to someone in one of the northern houses, when she was younger, but the lord ended up dying. (WANTED CONNECTION from people from one of the houses)ย
three years after, her brotherโs body succumbed to the fight that had been going on due to an infection. the one thing lyanna never expected had finally fallen upon her and she was now the ruling lady of ironrath, her mother the dowager lady who helped her in the transition.ย
lyanna has been the ruling lady of ironrath for three years now, still unmarried though not for the lack of options, and doing a better job than most people ever thought she would.

apart from being good at what a lady should be good at, lyanna is proficient in bow and arrow; her fatherโs trusted knight taught her how to fight when she was younger but as she got older, that stopped. although it was against the rules, lyanna insisted that she was taught at least how to handle the bow and arrow, alongside her brother. it was all done in secret, however, for it was not ladylike to use any weapons but lyanna was still grateful her father and brother actually helped her.
lyanna has a very sweet voice; she writes her own songs but rarely sings them in public. only her family and those that live in the house know of this talent but even then, lady forrester only sings in front of an audience if she really has to.
her favourite colour is dark blue, or any hue of blue, and that shows in her clothing, sporting it underneath the thick cloak and furs natural to the north. she always wears her hair down.
growing up in the north means she lacks the subtleties of the southern court but lyannaโs demeanour could very well pass for the subtle one of the ladies of the court. ever since she was a little girl, lyanna always chose to observe rather than take part, though it didnโt mean she wouldnโt say something should she feel like she had to.
whenever she could, she watched as her father, older brother and mother handled things in ironrath and absentmindedly internalized them. lyanna is very family oriented and knows that she had to learn how to deal with a lot of things, from the rules of house ruling to the deals her family had for ironwood if she were to keep her house and family safe. she readied herself for something that she thought was never going to come, until tragedy struck.ย ย
lyanna is very, very family oriented and will do anything for her blood. thatโs what fuels this inner fire that she keeps hidden underneath her calm and collected exterior. when it comes to family matters, thereโs nothing that lyanna wouldnโt do for her family and sheโs very outspoken about that part of herself.
lyanna liked celebrations, though she wasnโt much of a fan of the commotion that came with the most important ones โ a kingโs coronation being one of them. carrying the forrester name and being the ruling lady of a family that had sworn itself to the starks, lyanna both didnโt have a choice but to attend and she wouldnโt miss it for anything. yet, with that feeling in mind, the lady still found herself finding her coat and heading outside, letting the snow fall on her dark hair as a trail of breath made itself known by how cold it had gotten.ย โwere you in need of a break from the festivities, as well?โ the lady addressed whoever the footsteps she heard belonged to.
