This is coming from one of the worse places in my heart; why must I trudge through 11 issues of White Guilt from Nia to get any insight on how Jay, her victim is doing? Like we couldn't do even one full length of those issues to be like "hey, let's give space for Jay to grieve about this"?

We spent time grieving for Nia and for Jon, they were both allowed to be upset without someone trying to minimize or invalidate it. Jay though, he says anything and someone's jumping to insult him or shut him up. Not once has Jay gotten to be like "I am upset", without reprimand.

Nia, immediately justifying herself. Jon, constantly undermining him or shoving his feelings aside. Lori too was insulting him about his mother when she died like, a month ago tops. Absolutely no one has been nice to Jay.

And it sucks.

It's still early days for the Dreams Girls series, and I don't know if this is where it'sactually heading because there is still time to course correct, but... I gotta be honest I don't want Jon and Nia to get together if that's where this is heading.

For one, on Jon's part, it feels incredibly rushed. Like, in comic timeline Jay dumped him, at best, a few weeks ago. And suddenly he's just going to get with Nia? I understand that situations like the one she's in right now might prompt an evaluation of his emotions, but with the context of having only just lost Jay in his life it would feel out of character if Jon just jumped right into a new, serious relationship.

Which actually leads to my biggest problem when trying to think of Jon and Nia as a couple: It just feels messed up that the two white characters who basically betrayed and broke Jay's heart end up together. That is a toxic foundation if there ever was one, and I honestly couldn't imagine them seriously dating, looking at each other, and not remembering what they did to Jay every time.

Am I crazy here? Am I being unfair?

Star sapphire Bernard would use his constructs to build cryptids!!!!!! Hear me now!!!!! He would build cryptids and monsters and use them to attack his enemies!!!!!!!! If Batman is gonna be a boring human man and not a demon king hydra then Bernard is just going to make a demon king hydra to fight crime with him.

(this is specifically because I love when lanterns have a sort of signature construct. How Kyle's are so crazy and in-depth because he's an artist and Hal's are fairly simple and cartoony but effective.)
