[Update] Unplugged’s Rex has announced his return

Late April, the vocalist told his fans that he would be taking a short break to focus on school. Since his return, Jaemoon has been seen entering Double Kill’s company building and leaving with the other members of Unplugged.

With his return, fans are now wondering if this could mean a possible debut for the group.

UNPLUGGED FANCAFÉ POST BY MINSU JUNE 5, 2017 

This is, more than likely, going to be a rambling of sorts, and for that, I apologize in advance. Don’t worry; I’m not leaving Unplugged, I’m not going on hiatus, nothing of the sort. This is simply a collection of thoughts and sentiments to our lovely fans.

Debuting in this group is extremely important to me. I look at my brother Kisu in Flytrap and see how successful he’s become, and I want to be like him. I want to show off the skills that I have, and I want to continue to grow and adapt and get better, so that I can show you a better side of me.

Unfortunately, things refuse to go as planned. With the seemingly infinite member changes, the delayed and delayed debut, the change of concept, etcetera, I can understand why some fans may have lost interest, or even turned their backs on us completely.

My message here is to say that, even though I understand, I practically beg you to keep your eyes on us. Even though we’re only three at the moment, we’re an extraordinarily talented bunch. We have so many surprises and incredible things waiting for you, if only we are given the chance. We need dedicated fans like you in order to climb our way to an eventual debut, and then to continue climbing and climbing until we can’t climb anymore.

Things are confusing right now. I know none of you know exactly why things are like this, and I don’t know either. I’ve been thinking a lot, and I just wanted to try to set the record straight:

No matter how things change from here, Unplugged isn’t disappearing. We’re going to keep fighting until we debut, and we’ll show the world that we were worth the wait.

Unplugged Revamp: Out With The Old & In With The New?

The blows just keep coming for fans of long-awaited Double Kill group Unplugged. The group has undergone a revamp of sorts, eliminating the dance concept from the group. Because of this change, beloved dancers Venom and Kitae were removed. Along with this, a new member has already been added—a newbie named Chandler takes the position of bassist/vocalist, changing the group to a five-member band-only group.

It is unclear at this point whether this change is a sign of progress, or even more delays.

HYDE RELEASES DANCE PRACTICE FOR ‘NO RUSH’!

Following Hyde ending their promotions for debut song ‘No Rush’, 2K entertainment has released the dance practice video for their catchy song, giving the fans something to enjoy while waiting for whatever the group or the idols as individuals have in store for the future. Dressed in casual attire, the sub-unit is seen goofing around during their dance practice while showing off not only their dancing skills but also their great chemistry.

As for the unit it’s not yet known whether they will be making a comeback this year, however for the members individually there have been many rumours floating around. It’s said Mellow will be making their comeback this year, following their lineup changes in late 2016. The recently debuted member Venom is rumoured to be making his second debut, this time not as part of a sub-unit but as a fixed member of a band. And there have been various articles released about Jelly Beans’ members Kimiko and Ari who are also rumoured to be changing up their path to debut as a possible duo. 

Perhaps Hyde was meant to shine a light on the hardworking idols and to bring some more attention to all the upcoming changes! We’ll keep you updated.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE! CONGRATS MINWOO!

It may have been a few days (maybe even weeks) since the official date of your debut which was March 22nd, but that doesn’t mean it’s not special anymore. Though your debut was as part of a sub-unit, it doesn’t mean it’s anything less exciting or great, and to remind you yet again that you’ve made it and have done well, there are a few messages from friends and family down below to congratulate you on your debut! It may have taken a while, probably way too long as the organizing of messages has been hectic but it’s here finally, read them all well! We love you, please be very happy!

“Were you surprised? I bet no one expected me to be part of Hyde but here I am! Lately, I’ve been working hard and trying new things and I hope that this will allow me to show a different side of me, a mature June! We’ve all been working hard to debut as a sub-unit with a lot of chemistry and a different style, something to look forward to! I’ve been really excited and dying to show everyone who we are as a group. Especially for Ari and me it’s such a change from our usual image! I hope that when we debut, you will support us a lot so we can continue showing different sides of ourselves through this project and through possibly other projects in the future! Please look forward to the mature and now adult June! ㅋㅋㅋ Cosmo and I have been friends for a long time, and were originally debuting as a subunit together, but we were fortunate to have the other two members join as later edition! Hopefully you guys will like it as much as we do! Also look forward to our Venom, who has not debuted yet and will make his very first debut as part of Hyde! Give him lots of support!”

To everyone, hi I’m Minwoo but I go by the stage name of Venom. My face may not seem so familiar as my groupmates’ but I hope you can show interest and get to know me. Since I haven’t debuted yet I hope you’ll give me a chance to prove myself and my talent. For Hyde I’ll be your main rapper and sub-vocalist but I’m also Unplugged’s bassist, which you’ll see more in the close future. I’m not good at talking about myself, I just hope you’ll all like the project we’ve been working so hard on and trained so much for, with tears and sweat (dramatic muchㅋㅋㅋㅋ). Please show a lot of love to Hyde, along with Mellow, Utopia, Jellybeans and last but not least Unplugged who have yet to debut.

CONFIRMED on Utopia’s official twitter, the boys (and many great 2K artists) will be performing at the concert. It will be hosted by actress, Hyesu (@hyeitssu ) and last for two days!

Unplugged announces new member 

Double Kill announced officially on their homepage the addition of Lee Kitae. The position that he will occupy is: vocalist, main dancer and visual.

The news excite all fans from around the world as well as the rest of Unplugged who shared their joy on their official twitter page with a selca of the new member. We welcome Kitae and we excitedly wait for Unplugged’s close debut!

[INFO] Rex holds solo busking event @ Time Square Mall

After tweeting from his own account, Rex posted several pictures of TS Mall as he scoped out possible locations to set up. The singer expressed his desire to perform solo after seeing bandmate, Drew do the same a few months ago. Like his group, he covered songs from different groups before shocking everyone with an acoustic version of ‘One More Love’ with Creep’s Koemi.

“Even though I’m here alone, I want everyone to know that we’re okay. We continue to work hard to prepare the very best for all of you. To [Unplugged], thanks for supporting me with this insane idea.”

The event lasted for just around 2 hours before the idol turned to the crowd and thanked everyone for coming out. He also said a brief thank you to his friends that came out to see him.

“Not sure where [Koemi] ran off to but thanks for doing this with me. I can’t see everyone else but thank you, thank you for coming out and joining me. It truly means the world to me.”

 Unplugged’s Rex announced the opening of his very own Soundcloud account  last night on twitter. After uploading what seemed like the soon to debut star  playing around, he added the track, ‘LUCKY NIGHT’ several hours later. The  idol then took to twitter to thank labelmate, Sammy for his help with producing  and featuring on the track.  You can listen to the track here.

2K’s UNPLUGGED surprises fans and onlookers with songs through busking performance!

Earlier today, fans were shocked by the members of Unplugged setting up near the Han River. Around 1pm on Monday, a small gathering near Hangang River caught the eyes of fans. It took several minutes for the guys to set up camp and start playing around with the crowd. Unplugged performed 7 songs - each a different style by different groups.

During the third song, a few fans pointed out that a few members were sporting new hairstyles despite no information about a set debut date being released.
