have you ever been to a foster the people concert? if it yes, how it was?

I haven't, no! Have any of my followers seen them?

Hi! I love the blog! I've been to quite a few concerts before, mostly standing, and I HATE taking a bag, but I often don't have enough pocket space to fit what I need; keys, phone, travel card, money, TICKETS, and sometimes drawings I'd like to show the musician. I was wondering if there's any advice you could give me on keeping all my stuff safe? Thanks!

Haha so no pockets and no bags? Do you drive there so you can keep your stuff in the car? Other than that or having a friend help hold your stuff there's not a whole lot of other options

im going to one of my first concerts on saturday for all time low. i'm going to a pretty small venue, about 1200 people and i want to be near the front. how early would you say i should be there?

All Time Low crowds are cray cray, y'know with people wanting to get into Alex's pants and all. But I would say you could get there about 3 hours early and be alright :)

All these show preparation questions are bullshit. Only planning that should go into a concert is buying the ticket the rest should be unexpected and spontaneous, it makes the whole experience so much better. Even if you were to plan, it's not that hard...

To each their own. If people want advice about certain shows or artists, I'm going to do my best to help them out

hello :) i'm seeing all time low in november and i have a few questions: 1. why do people bitch about getting to the venue early? can't you just push through the crowd up to the barricade? 2. when is the best time to buy merch? 3. where should i wait after the show to meet the band? thanks <3

You could just push through the crowd to the barricade, but dedicated fans do wait outside for hours to get there. It's pretty shitty to take that from them. You can buy merch at anytime, just keep in mind that they're not always open for sales too long after the show is over, so keep an eye on that. You can wait along where their buses are, around the backstage areas, anywhere the band will pass through is a good place to try to meet them. Good luck :)

Going to see Asking Alexandria next year, all standing and no barrier so i'll probably be up the front of the stage, what'll i expect?:)

I just saw them for the first time early this year! They were so much fun. We were right up at the front on the barricade, and the pits forming kind of sent waves of fans slamming against us but it was a blast. They have a TON of crowd surfers, they're very pit-friendly, and when I saw them, I managed to find a way onto the stage to stage dive. They put on an awesome, really high energy show, I loved them :)

I just wanted you to know I think this tumblr is great. I can totally relate to most of the things on here. I like reading the personal stories about meeting the bands and the personal moments that happen with them. I admit a lot of the bands mentioned are not ones I know or listen to but I truly respect the ones that take time out for their fans and are so sincere. Thank you for what you do.

Going to my first concert soon, really stoked for it. My dad's going with me (I'm pretty young and I don't have a group to go with), and I want to let loose and sing along and enjoy the concert. Can I still do that without feeling weird or making him feel weird?

Of course you can! There's no reason why you can't go nutso regardless of your father going with you. I've been to concerts with both of my parents, and actually me being crazy with it kind of showed them it was okay for them to have a good time too haha

Okay this is going to sound so stupid but how can I meet the bands? I don't have enough money for meet and greet passes and I know this one kid that constantly gets to meet all his and my favorite bands. I'm so jealous bro.:( HOW CAN I MEET MY IDOLS?!

There's a few ways you can, depending on the concert. You could try to win a meet and greet, or just talk to a ton of people. Eventually if you speak to the right person or people, they might be able to pull some strings. You could hang out around where the bands are or backstage, where they enter and exist the venue, around the merch table, etc. If you stay a while, walk around, and talk to a ton of people, you could get lucky!

Right now I don't have any planned because work is absolutely consuming my life and energy... And yeah, probably!

Sure thing! First of all, see if the band is doing anything like a meet and greet, hanging out at a tent, etc before going through the stalking process. A lot of times, bands will hang out at a merch table, tent, etc or do something like, "if you buy a CD, you can meet us so we sign it" and things like that. If none of that is offered or available, hang out by the sides of the stages, walk around close to back stage areas, talk to people, things like that. Hang out by the barricade to the busses and be patient. Sometimes they'll see fans standing there and come over and say hi. If they don't, try to talk to everyone you can and if you're lucky they might let you meet some people. Just hang around, talk to people, be friendly, and you'll probably get lucky :)

I love you guys for being so excited for me! I applied to Disney in January when I was on vacation and was put on the waiting list. I just got a call today saying they had a job available for me working the Backlot Tour in Hollywood Studios! I'll be helping with the ride, operating it, etc :)

I'm SO excited and this is exactly what I wanted and I'm positive that I'll regret it if I don't take it. The only problem is that I live in New York and have a job, and they want me NEXT WEEK. So I'd have to quit my job after only a month, pack up, find an apartment there, move down to Florida and jump right into it and just hope that I'd be making enough to support myself. So it's a huge decision to make...
