Wally actually absorbs Piper’s rants

Anytime I’ve ever RP’d Bart Allen I always end up really wanting to somehow write about him actually talking about the events of ‘Graduation Day’ and the death of Omen with someone. That was something I kept waiting for and waiting for from the comics, and we got literally everyone else saying their peace about it and how it affected them, but not Bart.

And he was the only one there that was fast enough to even have a chance of saving Omen. But for the first time in his life, he froze instead of acting on impulse and someone died because of it. And they just never go in to how that affects him (I don’t even think I’ve really seen it brought up by other fans much, though that might be because ‘Graduation Day’ is harder to find and seems to be mostly hated).

And, like, I don't care what Dick says about him not being fast enough to get to her, he has no idea how fast Bart actually is, and even if he wouldn’t have been fast enough to save her, I think the fact that he couldn’t get himself to move when someone needed him, would haunt him forever.

I headcanon that he still blames himself for her death, and that he was one of the few people that went to her funeral. That for a while he dug through all the history he could find on her because he felt guilty that he didn’t know anything about her. And I like to think that she’s part of the real reason Bart gave up being Impulse, because Impulse let Max and Lilith die (I still think it would have been more in character for him to become Mercury or Kid Mercury, but that’s nitpicking). And man I just really want to write Bart admitting that to someone, and talking to them about feeling even more lost because most of the people he would normally have talked that out with were gone, dead, busy, or had pushed him away (and the fact that the remaining Young Justice members just kind of shoved him away, ignored him, or started avoided him after ‘GD’ is something else I really want to have him confront them about).

And I know, I know, I should just write a fan fic or something, but frankly, I don’t have the attention span to sit down and write a fic by myself, and even if I did I know I couldn’t write for whatever other characters he might be interacting with.

So I just really want to be able to RP that one day. It’s on my long list of RP goals.

hartley brought moon over so that’s keeping jai occupied luckily. jai is very very careful with her
