O n c e there was a town protected by a guardian: a mighty dragon that watched over the town and cared for its people deeply. But as all good things are subject to, the mighty beast was tainted with evil. A wicked aura made its way into the dragon’s soul and consumed his heart. The dragon suddenly wanted more than the love the townspeople offered. He wanted more than festivals in his name that were nothing more than excuses to eat good food and get drunk. Yifan wanted more. He wanted something in return for his dedication to the city for centuries. The skies grew dark and the demands for offerings bellowed through the torrid winds and shook even the strongest of buildings. With the city in chaos and consumed in flames, the king called upon his trusted monks to quell the beast’s rage. They trapped Yifan in the body of a human man and imprisoned him in their great stone hall high atop the mountain. For decades Yifan was offered sacrifices of pure virgin souls in the hopes that an innocent would make its way into his heart and rid his body of the evil that buried itself deep inside him so many years ago. Yifan grows tired of this ritual, of the people being afraid of him. He wants to be the great guardian he once was. He wants to feel love again. When a young man, a monk-in-training, is assigned the task of bringing the dragon his meals, Yifan never would have expected to grow attached to him. He never would have expected this young man to be the answer.

“Just for a little while” Tao’s dark brows furrowed, his hand outstretched upwards at the tall blonde.

“We can’t Tao, we’re going to be late.” Wufan swiftly turned on his feet, planning on ignoring the pleading male on his bed. But someone wasn’t having any of that. Tao quickly grabbed Wufan’s rough hand and forcefully pulled him down. The bed sheets suddenly lifted in the air as he fell with a thud. Tao chuckled at Wufan’s shocked expression. The covers gently floated back down, the soft air tickled their skin.

“Tao….” Wufan sighed, his voice stern.

“Just cuddling, I promise.” the dark haired boy chimed, scooting closer into Wufan’s warmth. The blonde sighed again but complied. His hand unconsciously played with the soft delicate hand beside him. Tao watched the light dance between their intertwined fingers. The dust mites swirled in the air. Taking a chance, he slyly worked his free hand up Wufan’s leg. The taller flinched as Tao’s curious fingers crawled under his shirt. Wufan moved his hand to stop the boy from going further, but Tao was faster. In less than a second, he was on top of him with his hands pinned into the creases of the pillow above his head. Wufan gasped. Tao wasted no time and shoved his wet tongue inside Wufan’s mouth. He moaned in protest, struggling under Tao’s strong grip. After abusing and licking every inch of his mouth, Tao finally pulled apart momentarily to breathe.

“You.. said.. just.. cuddl…ing” Wufan panted. Tao chuckled as he lazily bit his ear.

“I lied.”

Wufan growled and aggressively pushed Tao, switching positions.

“Fuck. We’re going to be late.” He breathed before hungrily attacking the younger one’s mouth.
