The Coronas Sign To Island Records (@TheCoronas)

The Coronas have singed a new record deal with Island Records the former home to Bell X1.

Island Records has a strong tradition of supporting Irish artists such as  U2 and Snow Patrol. It was also home to Bell X1 prior to the band leaving the label following the conclusion of their record deal with the London based label. 

The Coronas will release their new and long awaited studio album through Island Records. Previously the bands releases were through their own label 3ú. It is expected the band will continue to distribute their material in Ireland through their own label and internationally through Island Records. 

The band recently up sticks and moved from Dublin to London to try to gain more internationally attention. The band are one of the top selling acts in Ireland and have had some success in Germany, but have failed to break the UK until now. 

The Coronas confirmed rumours of their move to Island Records yesterday. The band release their new album later this year. Their current single ‘All The Others’ is out now. 

The band play Galway Arts Festival on July 19.
