Hi! I was invited to a professor’s house for dinner at seven! As a result, I’m pushing the stream back to 9:30 PM! It’s still going on, but it’s just going to be later so I can see my professor. Hope to still see y'all there!

Bumbleweed has the voice of a sweet, sweet desert-y angel!

I’ve temporarily hooked him up to one of my spare Furby speakers for this video, and I’ve removed parts of his lean-forward mechanism for cleaning. He’s still a little inconsistent when starting up, but the fact that he works at all is just incredible!

Against all odds, Bumbleweed’s motor actually works!!

Some of his moving parts are still pretty seized up, even after a lot of oiling, but he’s slowly but surely improving. Note that I’m only putting power through the motor right now, and none of his other circuitry.

Anyone else notice how literally every Furby prototype has just their upper beak open?

A couple of days and some ever-so-gentle power drilling later, I have the other half of Bumbleweed’s shell off! I’ll be able to access his ear bones to replace them now, and I can clean a lot more dirt out! His motor doesn’t look… great, by any means, but I’m going to try a few things to see if I can clean some of the rust off.

It’s very interesting to see what metals have rusted and which haven’t– all of his screws, pins, and the casing around his motor are very badly rusted, but things like the copper wire in his motor and all of the solders are completely fine!

Hi I’m selling this owl furby for $15 + shipping (I havent figured out shipping cost I will do that tonight once I get my car back) He’s in good working condition, as you can see he only has one eyelash but if you really want him with 2 eyelashes I can switch his eyelids with another owl furby I have. I can also include custom eye chips for free and/or paint his fur for 2 extra dollars!
