In my experience, just when you think you understand the Force, you find out how little you actually know.
Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018)
HUGE fan of your adult ahsoka!! She just makes sense!! The lekku and montrals are perfect đ
THANK YOU have a sketch
i love it so much !!!
I like to think Anakin had to make the trip to Illum with a group of younglings everytime he lost his lightsaber to go get a new crystal
this comment basically sums up my views on the free guy trailer
Whenever I look at the list of Emmy's best leading actress nominees in drama I -
We call it the Death Star. There is no better name⌠and the day is coming soon when it will be unleashed. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
You ever read someone elseâs interpretation and analysis of a piece of media and just feel like beating their ass...
âHe wasnât even supposed to come back and try to save your shitâ
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK JOHN. He legit calls out Rian and Disney for sidelineing his character and stands up for JJ. We love to see it
I LOVE HIM WITH MY WHOLE HEART
I have a few minor issues with Ahsokaâs design in Rebels and theyâre almost all to do with her puffy montrals and noodle arms.
John Boyega's feelings on Rian Johnson
Vs his feelings on JJ Abrams
âIâm the only cast member who had their own unique experience of that franchise based on their race. Letâs just leave it like that. It makes you angry with a process like that. It makes you much more militant; it changes you. Because you realise, âI got given this opportunity but Iâm in an industry that wasnât even ready for me.â Nobody else in the cast had people saying they were going to boycott the movie because [they were in it]. Nobody else had the uproar and death threats sent to their Instagram DMs and social media, saying, âBlack this and black that and you shouldnât be a Stormtrooper.â Nobody else had that experience. But yet people are surprised that Iâm this way. Thatâs my frustration.â
JOHN BOYEGAÂ for British GQ (October 2020)
John 'the truth speaker' Boyega has spoken đđżđđżđđżđđż
New interview with John for GQ magazine.
But he is also talking about other people of colour in the cast â Naomi Ackie and Kelly Marie Tran and even Oscar Isaac (âa brother from Guatemalaâ) â who he feels suffered the same treatment; he is acknowledging that some people will say heâs âcrazyâ or âmaking it upâ, but the reordered character hierarchy of The Last Jedi was particularly hard to take.â
They gave all the nuance to Adam Driver, all the nuance to Daisy Ridley. Letâs be honest. Daisy knows this. Adam knows this. Everybody knows. Iâm not exposing anything.â
i hope people understand the racism john had to face left and right. in the studio and with white star wars fans, specifically those of you who are rey & kyle ryan fans (donât want to say the name)
and if you as a rey-you-know-what werenât âpart of itâ or never harassed john, you staying silent didnât help
you canât say âoh but he said this and that about daisyâ when you all made it more than it was and tbh yâall just finally wanted an excuse not to like him so you didnât look racist
everything that john went through was because of white people and racism. daisy and adam knew this, they knew they had all these opportunities outside of star wars in comparison to their BIPOC counterparts, but didnât do anything
and we canât argue saying âwhat if they did/say something behind closed doorsâ because that means shit
if daisy or adam or another white actor would have publicly defended john or spoke up during rehearsals or writing sessions or whatever, things could have gone differently
anyways, you as white people need to get your act together. yâall really do. stop getting defensive, stop playing the victim, but seriously take a step back and reevaluate your actions and words
and if any of this âoffendedâ you, ask yourself why?
BIPOC can talk about this, HAVE been talking about this, but if you all donât listen then weâll never get anywhere
so, just listen.
