Friday, December 23rd: Hello everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman, who is in desperate need of help, as I'm struggling to get groceries and my account is currently overdrawn!!

As most of you are already aware from my previous posts, my sweet 14-year-old dog Luna, passed away a month ago on November 23rd, and I've been struggling to pay her vet bill and the fees for the cremation services to get her ashes. Thankfully with the generous help of others, I managed to cover the expenses and bring her home. However, this has left me with significant pressure to make other ends meet as I've recently received several chargebacks and a debt I'm struggling to pay.

At the present moment, I'm struggling to buy groceries, and keep my utilities on as I don't receive my U.C. welfare until December 30th, and the £317 I get will all go towards paying my rent but I won't have enough left to pay these charges!! And with it being Christmas this Sunday, I desperately need help with my gas meter to keep my heating on, and get enough groceries to last a few weeks!! I need community support to get out of my situation. I am living with my dysfunctional family and abusive mother, who I had cut off completely after my father passed. Originally, I made a Gofundme to help me live with my sisters, but they weren't honest about where we would be going. Once I was forced to come home, I changed the summary and raised the goal. I'm now trying to save up for a car to help me expand my employment options. I've been unsuccessfully job searching since April. The ultimate goal is to get a job, save up, and leave this place for good. My mother is horrible and my family enables her. I'm not doing well and I need to get out. Tuesday, October 4th: Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman, who is in desperate need of help, because after paying my rent, I now have nothing to get groceries or keep my utilities on for October.

As most of you are already aware from my previous post, I have been struggling financially these past few years due to Covid-19 and my welfare benefit (Universal Credit) being under a review, which is due to my worsening mental/physical health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And at the moment, I'm currently struggling to get by, as my application for Disability (PIP) was declined despite recently being diagnosed with PCOS, MDD & CFS.

And due to awaiting DWP assessments, my debt from overdue bills, accounts and creditors, is piling up to over £1k, and this has made it incredibly difficult for me to get by on a day-to-day basis.

I know this is a difficult time for everyone, and I'm completely heartbroken to be asking for help again, but I still desperately need some as I've only recently paid off my rent, but now I have nothing to get food or pay my utilities which are also on emergency credit, and getting more expensive to keep on (my electricity meter is £90 p/m & gas is £40 + £70 for groceries!!)

Hey, I (have been) in the process of diagnosing my chronic fatigue and as a result my insurance maxed out co-pays and unrelated doctor appointments have been hitting me like a brick. I had what I thought was a rash a few weeks ago and went to the dermatologist which was $145 and I have an upcoming gynecology appointment that (while usually mostly covered) isn't anymore because of having to see other doctors for my chronic fatigue. Which ends up being $180. The rent hike at my complex has also made living expenses more strenuous. I anticipate needing around $550 in financial assistance for the month. Thank you so much 💖

update 8/31/22:

i just paid the final amount of rent for the house i was at, and it’s left my bank account at $78 until Sept 19th when my loan deposits. I started school on the 17th but they are holding my funds for thirty days, and i still have utilities and electric to pay. I will have $78 to last me two and a half weeks, and my university only helps with funds to people who were given eviction notices, a utility shut off notice, etc so i can’t get any assistance from them either. anything helps, i just seriously need to get through the next few weeks and then i’ll be fine.

Hi, I am in the process of diagnosing my chronic fatigue. I had an unexpected additional doctors appointment at the end up July that was $195 which was a bad hit.

In addition to that I have an upcoming dental appointment and have to renew my yearly dental plan (my insurance doesn't cover it/additional coverage isn't very comprehensive) which is likely going to be around $375-475.
