I can’t believe how much my life has changed.
So, just before I stopped using this blog I think I was like 24/25 and I was working at a call centre bumming around after university.
I kind of closed up my life in Montreal for awhile and moved to Northern Quebec. I disappeared from all my friends and social media, became a teacher, started giving a shit, focused on my art, and changed somehow.
That took three years.
After a lot of bullshit from administration I came back to Montreal and decided that life is short, and that I want to at least try to do some of the things I want to do before dying.
That took 28 years.
I started making stop-motion projects during the summer, volunteered at a film festival, worked at an art gallery. I started painting more seriously, I’ve started film classes, I’ve got a job in television, and I’m starting an internship in fashion.
All of these things are things I’ve hardly let myself dream about, let alone try to materialize....and yet....with no experience in either industry, just belief in myself, here I stand.
I’m not really writing this for any other reason than to remind myself, and tell my younger self (who has had this blog since like...2011!!!) that we’re going to make it.
Life is fucking wild, but you’re wild, and you’re going to make it.
