I’ve been super bad with motivation and procrastinating working on this, but I am in love with my creation and don’t plan on dropping this at all BUT I DID GET SOME STUFF DONE DESPITE THAT

I’m working on making sprites for dialogue! 2/3 are done for the second choice set in the script Since he’s very expressive and has micro expressions for different sets of choices, I can’t really repeat and reuse the same sprites 100%

There’s about two halves(?) of the mini demo

And I’m on the first half of placing placeholder about 30% in. It’s been going smoothly tho!

Tho sadly Im getting rid of the name reactions for the demo cuz im lazy and dont want to fiddle with the code so the reactions blend smoothly in- yikes. (DW ILL ADD THEM BACK FOR FULL VN OR MIGHT EVEN ADD THEM IN BACK LATER IN PROGRESS)

I’m still not going to actually promote, promote and just stick with posting randomly. But I’m craving for my Wyne content like he isn’t my own oc and random ask. Hehehe… ANYWAYS

Wyne fun fact of the day: He actually has a Ukrainian heritage, but he’s so disconnected (only second gen) from that he doesn’t actually know the language except a few words or a lot of his culture beside dressing up for Easter.But he has his favourite foods apart from chicken related stuff, such a as borscht and his mom’s stuffed cabbage.

​I am fixing all my little code :D not that it actually does anything for the demo, (except new added dialogue). Since Wyne does track MC through everything that I had to make the code match that sooo. That's all fixed! It's more about getting the dialogue sorted, you know, like += 1/hate +=1 and how he tracks that :D. 

Monday is gonna be placeholder art day, since I only have about 30% placeholders in. (he's stupid, and I need to make  alt sprites for big pupil wyne)

SIGGHHH I just want to be lazy, but commissions needs to be done for mons for kitty-cat. I had my friend playthrough what i had so far, and said "Barely disguised fetish" while looking over at me. HMMM and there's going to be more of that too- I am shameless. anywaysss

I'm trying to settle on a design for him in the role swapped route. Do i strip him of his identity? (hat, shade and hoodie) or do i leave them on? pssh pssh that be a problem for me laterrr cuz thats past demo problem.

I’ll be WORKING on my DEMO VERY SOON, not releasing!

Over the past few months progress has been super slow on the actual release of my demo, since I have been prioritizing writing my script/dialogue/narration (and school, plus commissions, plus plus keychain designs for future shop), rather than coding

After my finals, next week I’ll be getting on a solid work schedule! I won’t be working on GUI or customs screen for demo release, and instead will be focusing on art/sound design. So I could get the VN out quickly… It’s release gameplay will be super short!

Perpetrator!MC is still in working progress, especially since I gotta get creative with g0re and t0rture scenes, and how it actually moves forward! Can’t just copy paste MC into Wyne spot ;P so far my favourite path is C’s :)

Perp!MC and Victim!MC will/might be getting into some territory that I think is a bit too much- and my demo does not show ANY of that… so please read the warnings when I post the itch.io page next week

The INTR asset behind Erick is now gone, it was a layering issiue wich is now fixed! I also am close to redifinning the images (because they got deleted somehow) and now when i finish the definitions ill go back to working on day two & the set.

does your Vn have a narrative/ story arc? or is it like short vignettes?

like the self contained loops/repeated setups in Btd and the other game from the creator i forgot the title, btw idk if you're even inspired by it (i guess it's the basement/garage lol)

It's a short vignettes type thing, yeah! multiple mini ending yada yada, BUT there is actual lore/reason to everything not told through an arc, instead from certain circumstances met (exploration, certain choices picked). So noo real story </3

hehe yeahh... btd/ykmet gave me the inspo to make OC lore into a game BUUUT mainly it was W1WD/Daniel who gave me the biggest boost to flesh it out (i did strangle ren when i found out how similar wyne was to him tho, still making the game doe :3) peep concept art that im struggling with

There is TWO routes; get tortured or do the torturing! i actually squeezed in my first concept into my second to get what i have now (first concept is honestly a precursor to this and was more story driven)

btw do you know if there are communities or auggggh discord servers -that blasted site- to connect to other Vn devs? I'm working on my vn alone, but I'm a social creature & i need parallel play or i'll literally explode. like where do you guys connect? just posting about it & hope other devs find you?

HA! Nope :,) I’m not in any VN/dev servers. I only post about my VN too keep myself accountable and because I have a big need to share art/doodles/progress. I joined OC/art (that are 18+/okay with g*re) servers tho! Post enough ppl naturally get interested

But other than that, I only know one other person making a VN… SO uhm. So ig I’m just postin in hope of finding other VN devs :3

On the topic of sharing doodles…!! (non of these guys are important to anything… trust me + old Wyne) ALSO THANK YOUU I’m glad you like my art style! It mean sm to me since I struggle with enjoying my own work, glad someone out there digs it ^^
