i’ve been super nostalgic for the 2010’s lately… i often find myself looking up old music i used to listen to and past fashion trends that i used to participate in. it’s funny because my teenage years were probably some of the worst years of my life. i don’t miss them at all and i wouldn’t go back if i had the chance. but i do miss how easy life was back then. all i had to worry about was doing my homework and running my tumblr. now i have real life problems and have to pay taxes. i love aging. i have everything that my younger self wanted and more. but i still carry that younger version of myself in me. i think this has been a difficult concept for me to grasp. i think of myself now separately from my younger self, like a completely different person. but she’s still there, and she lives on inside me.
