It's none of my business any of the circumstances on the Karina departure but it is really weird having the only two things I watch consistently on YouTube go thru restructuring suddenly in a relatively short span.

IGN laying off bts members of Oxventure and the Oxboxtra channels finally restructuring after that and Luke splitting off awhile back meant I was already having a weird new status quo adjustment.

I hope everyone both former and current at both channels are supportive of each other and doing okay far more than I wish I wasn't feeling a but unmoored rn, but I am also feeling that.

If anyone finds this post don't tag it plz.

I hope Drawfee can stream on twitch again at some point, and I look forward to Karina's future endeavors.

I just hope I don't end up never finishing my planned crossover art in the wake of the possibility of Drawtectives and/or Oxventure ending before I even get a second piece together....

Warframe is so funny to me. Sometimes a family is a robot pretendeding to be your adopted mother who then splinters into three separate but conjoined identities, her child she rescued from a shipwreck who got magic space powers from a god that made them kill their own biological parents for its amusement, an alternate timeline copy of the kid who never got rescued and instead was trapped in a magical fairytale world where they got executed and brought back to life on repeat for years before usurping the fictional king and claiming his power over time, their uncle/fighting instructor who hates their adoptive robot mother, a former mass murderer that regreted being a mass murderer and was turned into a glorifed virtual assistant for crime of not wanting to be a mass murderer anymore, a family of former royalty that got infected with a space virus that made them ten times larger and also meat flowers, the gay grandpa of that family who *isn't* infected but *is* haunted by the same god that made the kid kill their parents and is also the reason the god exists in the first place,-

-his butler/lover, their cat, three sapient talking animals, the alternate timeline copy's time-traveling polycule, the robot mom's giant robot dad, his estranged son that joined a cult, a single-minded killer that the robot dad also adopted(NOT a robot), his dead wife, AND their child that (as of writing this) seems to have somehow split into two alter egos that are locked in a deathmatch together that it causing mayhem across Venus.

Evil Within 2 voted game most stuck in my head even though I've never played it. All games should have a secret cutscene where they say the game title and look down the barrel at the player. Especially sequels that become increasingly forced sounding if you do so.

I finally finish playing the Dark Story and pick up the Hero side of things and a snarky voice chimes in like:

"Hey, you finally finished fawning over that faker? That's right, this is a Sonic Adventure, Too!"

Wait... I just realized... Marvel made Bailey Briggs because someone remembered that they co-own the Spider-boy name and now that Bailey doesn't have an ongoing comic, they're reprinting Pete Ross's Spider-boy?

I wonder if that's just a coincidence or if Bailey's existence is what got DCs attention enough for them and Marvel to finally do crossovers again...

Also I kinda wish the two would meet, but the vibes would be a mess to mesh... I'd be excited to see it regardless. Maybe a Spider-verse esque side story explaining how Pete Ross seemed to be in the Spider-verse in the second movie with Bailey as the main character going "wow, you're a more dated 90s kid than the guy in the ripped hoodie with the ankle bracelets!" (And/or referencing how his short-lived alt costume seemed to be a bit inspired by Ross's) and maybe main comic Miles going "hey, didn't Midtown say you aren't allowed to be in the big leagues until you're at least a teen? I won't tell, but don't let B see you, I think that guy tried to adopt me, he'll definitely try to dad you." (I know the Spider-verse movies aren't usually canon in the comics, but versions of the comics characters are canon in the movies, so it could work.)

Also also I want Bailey to return in general because I think it's a missed opportunity for him to have not met Ollie Osnick and get to talking about Pete's sidekick avoidance history and maybe even explore a Pete with a sidekick apologizing to the Steel Spider and helping Osnick get into group therapy or something. (Tho I do know part of the reason that hasn't happened is because Ollie got all grimdark while Bailey's comics are more kid friendly, and part of it is that he's aged more than the core Spidey cast, so having him, Peter and Bailey in the same place would draw too much attention to the nonsensical way time works in comics.)

Was reading the new Brand New Day retcon comic and it has the official first chronological meeting of Pete and Bailey. Which is cool and I'm curious to see more, BUT

Brand New Day is one full arc past Civil War.

Civil War is the when Ollie got Negative Zoned.

Spider-boy came into Pete's life while the former Spider-kid was possibly still being considered for release from a black site prison in a practical hell dimension for resisting the Superhuman Registration Act with just his Steel Spider gadgets and rebellious attitude. Ollie was last seen one arm down and while he can definitely build his own prosthetic, getting partially cannibalized by Venom is still rough. Whatever writers do: Please don't farm this angst to make Ollie go all Jason Todd on Bailey.

I do hope we get at least a passing mention of Ollie if brand new Brand New Day continues to cover Pete meeting Bailey tho. Even just a "I've said no to sidekicks before" from Pete during any of Bailey's adventures would've been a good nod and I will take that here if we get it.

And if by some miracle a writer decides to bring Ollie back and throw caution to the wind on the question of how he's seemingly aged more than Pete, I really hope the first stop is a Bailey meeting. Maybe Ollie could do a guest lecture at Spider-versity on gadgetcraft.

(And if I'm throwing up wishes into the void, maybe pull Otto's character growth back out of literal hell and let Ollie meet Superior Spider-Man so he can have a crisis about that. Otto still being dismissive of him is at least required at the start of that hypothetical meeting, of course.)
