It’s day two of my new diet plan, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Succumbing to the standards of society has never been more enthralling. For starters, I begin every day with water that has been filtered through ground coffee beans. Then, for lunch, I drink whatever this is. It’s green but it tastes like bananas. We live in exciting times. For dinner, I eat pizza or some other bad food so that my stomach knows who’s boss. What’s that stomach?! Did you think today was gonna be healthy?! Here’s a chip with French onion dip and a slice of pizza with a refreshing smoothie of whiskey and sprite. I’m no nutritionist, but that won’t stop me from treating my body like the laboratory– I mean temple it is. #health #nutrition #dogsofinsta

I'm moving out of Florida next week and I told my roommate I'd paint something for her before I leave so I did this really odd portrait of us with the color scheme of my favorite crocheted blanket of hers.

I’ve just finished some application materials for an internship on an island in North Carolina and I’m not going to lie, I want this position more than anything else right now. Four months of conservation and education in exactly what I want to pursue in life. On a secluded island that requires a short ferry ride to get to. Living in a dorm with a handful of other like-minded interns. Working directly with the wildlife. 

I’m anxious and qualified and hopeful. I don’t want to be disappointed, but I want this so badly.

I have had seven paying jobs in my life (six of which were at or for the University from which I’ve just graduated), and for exactly zero of those positions was I hired based on my resume or an application process. I was hired for every one of those jobs because I just knew the right person, or was recommended, or asked for an old boss to create a new position just so I’d have a summer job. 

Essentially, this means that my resume has been horribly out of date and extremely hard to condense. Once I create a proper CV it’ll be alright, but I’m currently applying for an internship that requires specifically a resume and cover letter and this whole process is so strange.

I’ve graduated from university and I’ll be leaving Florida come late July and I’m really bummed about that. Florida is my home.
