well today has been a very long and difficult day. psa to everyone: don’t get sick after you finish the office because then you have nothing else to do with your life! but yeah my name is gabby, i am nineteen years old. under the cut there will be some bullet points about my babe gabe. if you want to plot hmu and i will get back to you in the morning!

gabriel comes from a long line of politicians. or as he likes to say he was *forced into* a long line of politicians. he was adopted as a baby, becoming the first and only son of caroline and arnold bennett. at the time of gabriel’s adoption mr. bennett had been running for some sort of governmental position and his wife was unable to conceive a child. in her eyes, adoption was a way to start the family she had always wanted. in his, it was a way to boost his campaign and keep his wife please for the next few years.

his father might love him a little but it’s vv unlikely

so throughout gabe’s life he always knew his father hadn’t really wanted him around so he did both of them a favor and stayed out of his way. but then his dad started running for more powerful political positions ( like senate, congressman, etc. ) and needed his entire family’s help in showing the ‘not so ordinary’ but ‘picture perfect’ family. and that was where gabe drew the line, he wasn’t faking anything especially for his father

so that pissed his dad off a lot as you lovely readers probably guessed

gabe started to rebel and act out against his father. doing things like speaking out against his political views, staying out all night, drinking/smoking/partying. and while this was a big hit with the teenage social scene it wasn’t going great with his father’s campagin. his dad ended up convincing his mother that moving him to new york would be the best way for him to ‘find himself’ and ‘let off some steam’ but really it was just so he could get stuff done in the gov. without gabe screwing it up.

so really he’s like a socialite ?? sorta ?? ig ??
