Life is going to get way more exciting...starting this summer!
I got a call from my dream company today (AAIPharma) and they are going over my resume because I am applying to be a microbiologist intern for the summer! This is absolutely incredible for me because 1) This is the company that I want to work for after college and 2) This is a paid internship! Which means: not only will I be doing something I love--I will be getting PAID to do something I love. Practically everyone's life goal.
Very exciting! I haven't officially gotten the internship yet but I have a phone interview tomorrow morning that I am feeling confident about. If there is something that I am good at--it is talking to people.
Changing the subject just a bit, I saw something very interesting when I got home tonight. The first thing was a rabbit. It is so insane how much rabbits have been apart of my life. I never realized it until recently...
Growing up in Wilmington, I would go visit my grandmother every Sunday and every Sunday she would take me on a walk through her neighborhood. These walks were always the best part of my week because I would get to see the neighborhood rabbits! They were everywhere. You couldn't go a block down the street without seeing at least one or two. They were always the same color and size. We never saw any baby rabbits (bunnies)...always healthy adults.
Later on (still in my younger childhood) my family adopted a pet rabbit--I have no recollection of what we named it. However, it would always do the most ridiculous things--chew on cable chords, leave pellets on the floor, etc. The rabbit had to be moved outside--having it indoors was too much. SO--my dad built a "rabbit hut" and in the rabbit went. I really enjoyed playing with this crazy creature and as a child I never had a care in the world. As a result--I accidentally left the rabbit's cage open one day and it escaped...never to return. I loved that stupid animal! I hated to see it go and to think it was because of my adolescent carelessness. Oh rabbit.
Even as a young adult rabbits have continued to thrive in my social life...it's really crazy to think about. I have many more "rabbit" stories but I just wanted to share some of the shorter ones.
ALSO! To jump back on the biology train--I saw another super cool thing when I got home tonight. And that was a frog! I frogs are entertaining creatures to watch...and that--to me--is usually entertaining the same way a horror movie is entertaining. They breathe heavily and quickly as if something is always after them. Frogs also tend to fidget a lot--probably too much. They do these little "half-jumps" and even reach one of their legs out unexpectedly. It's a very scary thing. I actually managed to capture this video for you guys...I hope you enjoy:

Anyway! That is all for the evening. I have a History of Science exam to study for and an interview to look forward to tomorrow!
