After a month of (admittedly rather sporadic) activity on this account, I’ve surpassed one milestone and started the slow climb to the next. I’ll be honest -- I never expected Gadget to be received this well, especially since he has such a tiny fandom on Tumblr, but I guess that good ol’ nostalgia brought y’all here. I hope I’ll keep that nostalgia flowing as best I can. Anyway, on to the actual lists.

SPORADICALLY DO QUIZZICAL gimmicks accredit abstruse prerogatives as ample as another’s contraptions ( he, himself - in silence veiled - had bestowed upon the scientific community a great deal of conjectures && methods). NEVERTHELESS, N E V E R had reason settled upon the imagery of what grey eyes had assisted.

They’re pret-ty nifty, if I do say so myself. ❜ Not that he was one to toot his own horn, but the cybernetic enhancements that composed the majority of his body could do some pretty incredible things. Granted, they only worked properly once in a blue moon ( perhaps he should ask Von Slickstein about an exam? ) and would often activate something completely different from what he’d intended-- and yet, by some miracle, he still managed to get the job done with what he’d been given. ❛ What about you? Certainly, a man of your renown must have a few tricks of his own. ❜
“Oh? Your…job? I…Huh.” That bit confuses her and the gesture goes from sweet to perplexing very fast. Studying him with raised brows, she nods slowly, smile a bit more awkward now. “Of course, Inspector. What question would that be? If it’s about a file, I can pull whatever you need first thing in the morning, I promise.”
Of course it was his job! No one else in that station would go out of their way to show appreciation towards the one employee that needed it the most, but received it the least. Gadget had always had an almost obsessive penchant for trying to make others cheer up (or at least smile) and Kristen was no exception. ❛ A file? Oh, no. I prefer to keep my work life separate. Besides, I wouldn’t dare bother you about records on your day off. I was going to ask if, perhaps... you’d like to join me for dinner? ❜
“I guess not, Inspector. I’m just…pleasantly surprised.” She takes the time to admire the various blooms, a delighted glimmer in her eyes all the while. Glancing back up, she smiles over at him, a rosy color in her cheeks. “Thank you. This is just so thoughtful. I’m…this certainly made my day.”
❛ No thanks necessary, ma’am. I’m just doing my job. ❜ If his job includes bringing flowers to women, then yes, he’s excelling spectacularly. Sadly, it doesn’t, which means he has an ulterior (but considering his personality, far from nefarious) motive for showing up unannounced, bouquet in hand. ❛ So... Miss Kringle. While I’m here, I’d, ah-- like to ask you a question, if I may. ❜
“Oh! Inspector? I–hello. Are those– are those for me?” She’s a little taken aback by him being here, but she can’t help but smile. Moving forward, she studies the bouquets a moment before glancing back up at him. “What’s the occasion?”

Still smiling broadly, he clasps his hands behind his back and briefly rocks forward on his toes before allowing his heels to meet the floor again.

someone please talk to me about how Gadget took Penny in with open arms after the deaths of her parents and happily made so many adjustments in his lifestyle to accommodate her and her needs please talk to me about how he insists on making time in his schedule to take her to school when she could easily ride the bus, and how he’s always the first to volunteer to help whenever she brings up a project or a problem at school please talk to me about how he’s the most supportive uncle in the world and would do anything to make her happy (gifts, trips, concerts, etc.) and give nothing short of his life to protect her please just talk to me about the Gadget family ok

❛ Really? How strange! I’d always thought of myself as being the perfect height for apprehending criminals. Thankfully, I know ex-actly how to solve this problem! ❜
❛ Go go Gadget growth spurt! ❜ It sounds impressive in theory, but the execution is rather lackluster. The lanky detective’s shoes stay firmly planted on the ground, while the metallic, telescope-like plating that makes up his legs extends just enough to make him a head taller than the other male.
I believe I’ve missed the appreciation day for the canonical characters. But, seeing as today is focused on the original characters, I opted to just do a small list containing the blogs I either admire, adore or they are simply worthy of all of the love there is in the community ( be it for their dedication to their muse, the astonishing narrative they possess OR how truly amazing they are ).
