He drags his sack of goodies over to where Yuki also sat on the floor with her own pile. Were they too old to go trick-or-treating? Yes, absolutely. Were most of this candy actually just bought and mixed together? Also yes, but it just felt more authentic like this, and Yuki, bless her, had been happy to oblige in Yuu’s silly little idea.
“I’ll trade you some of these mini chocolate bars for some of those gummi burgers, how about that? Does that sound like a fair trade to you?”

Noya looked up from his phone with a slight frown upon his face. Did Kagami not want to go to the pumpkin patch with him? It was understandable he guessed, considering it was kind of chilly today but that didn’t stop them from doing other things in the cold before!
“We could but this is about the experience!” He hops off where he been perched on the edge of Kagami’s couch, coming over to weave his fingers with Kagami’s. Maybe if he buttered him up a little bit with some affection...
“Plus you can get bigger pumpkins in the patch! And I need you to help me carry the biggest, please? We can make out when we come back if you want-”

“Why are you...scared?”
No doubt Kagami would deny any fear vehemently but that doesn’t stop the slow grin from blooming across Nishinoya’s face. His eyes gleaming with a bright, mischievous light. Up the hill from them was a graveyard, fenced off and shrouded by a few select trees as graveyards often were. Noya thought that taking a walk through it would be fun and spooky which considering it was the literal night before Halloween... it was an amazing idea.
At least it would be if Kagami stopped being a big scaredy-cat.
“Come on, Kagami! Live a little!” Noya tries to tug on his sleeve, looking up at him with a pout on his face. “No ghouls are gonna pop out of the ground and grab your ankles! You’ll be fine!”

The grin that he flashes the taller man is a bright one, happy and excited to show his friend around the festival. Course, he is certain that Renji has been to other festivals before but he hasn’t ever been to this one and certainly not with him so! Noya planned on making the most of the redhead’s visit this time so that they could have some fun!
“Of course! You can’t just come here while a festival is on and not go to it after all! Plus it is a great excuse to spend time together!”
Reaching out to grasp Renji’s wrist he begins tugging him along towards one of the nearby booths selling all sorts of fall-themed treats-- his grip loose yet firm. “Come on! Let’s get something to eat first then play some games! How does that sound to you?”

Without delay Yuu leaps to his feet, practically bouncing from foot to foot as he darts over to where Yuki has all her Halloween decorations spread out upon the coffee table. Halloween was awesome and absolutely one of his favourite holidays-- what wasn’t there to like about it? Candy, spooky scares, and costumes? It was just the shame that it only lasted one day, imagine if Halloween lasted for a whole week! Now that would be fucking awesome!
Yuu’s hands dive into the pile, fishing out a couple of plastic bats that bounce upon their nylon strings, a big grin plastered across his face. “Do you think we could put these up in the door? Set them up so that when people open it they fly into their face? We have to prank Kagami like that once, come on, Yuki, please-”

Previously having been idly scrolling upon twitter out of bordem while they chatted, Nishinoya turned then to face Hotaru, a slightly confused look on his face. He had been telling her about the one time some official assumed Hinata and him had been middle schoolers and she led up with that? It sounded so silly to him!
“I don’t think you sound anything like a twelve-year-old!” He laughed now, shaking his head at the silliness. “You ever talk to one? They sound like literal babies! Trust me, you don’t sound like that at ALL.”

“Aw come on, we are just getting started!” Nishinoya stood, hands at his hips, over the prone form of Hamasaki lying upon the polished gym floor. It was just them there at the time, as they wanted to do extra practice together, and yet already Hamasaki was down and out. It reminded him of Lev a little bit, laying starfish style upon the floor with several volleyballs laying about.
In truth they had already been there for least over a half-hour, maybe more, Noya couldn’t be certain as he had neglected to keep track of the time. Unlike Hamasaki, however, he did not seem to be tired in the slightest. If anything he seemed to have even MORE energy than when they started.
“You can’t give up now cuz you are tired! You gotta keep pushing yourself, come on you can do it!”
“you really need to go.” okay. hear me out. atla lev and noya but at this point lev knows noya's a firebender and took him to the northern water tribe but he might get in trouble for letting someone from the Outside in

“Lev… it isn’t so simple, I can’t just leave.”
A frown was set deep upon Nishinoya’s face and he adjusted his clothes. The red and gold of which felt heavier than it usually did somehow given the present company. The colours of the Fire Nation carried weight with them and so soon after the war still inspired fear and hatred in those who saw it despite the fact that they no longer represented the cruelty they once did. It would take a long, long time before they were accepted again.
Up here in the North though it was even worse. Noya had heard at length from Lev the horrors that former general Zhao had conducted there, the people of the Nothern water tribe had all the reason in the world to feel the way they did. All the more reason then, that the new Fire Lord deemed it important to repair relations with them.
That, of course, didn’t make it any easier for Noya to stand in front of his once good and only friend for a time and listen to him tell him to leave- his voice tight with barely held back emotion. A small, slightly desperate, part of him desperately wanted to once again try and convince Lev that things simply weren’t as black and white as he appeared to think they were, but… he had a job to do.
“I will only leave when my job here on behalf of the new Fire Lord is done.” He spoke firmly, his eyes never leaving the sharp green boring into him. “I know things aren’t…. ideal here, but you have my word I am not going to cause trouble. I am here for solely peaceful reasons, that is all.”
