I hadn’t had a drink in over a year before conceiving my first son. And I hadn’t had a drink in nearly 4 years when I got pregnant with my second son. Don’t know that wine would really help to get pregnant with a boy…

Watching The Business of Being Born

and it's making me sad, I so wanted a home birth.  I'm thankful that I was able to have my girls naturally but knowing that I could do it now, looking back I wish we had been in our home.  Next time we'll be less high risk and we'll be able to do it at home.

Doctor visit for the girlies this morning.

J has gone up in weight and is now 1.9kg and S is back to her birth weight 1.7kg it's a big step and it means she doesn't need another NG tube.  I'm a happy proud mama that they've figured out this whole eating thing!  Though J never had an issue at all she's been an amazing nurser since right after birth.

Amazing Husband Night

He's watching the babies and I'm going to take a bath, he promised to bring them to me if they were hungry but I just fed them both so i should get a few hours of me time.

1) Pick a couple of ripe bananas. They should be sweet and soft but not too mushy.

2) Peel the bananas and cut them into coins

3) Freeze the banana pieces for at least an hour or two.

4) Put the pieces into a food processor or blender.

5) Blend on high. Initially they will look crumbly and piecemeal. The mixture will probably get stuck a lot. Keep scraping down the bowl. Suddenly, as you keep blending, you will see a change.

6) The bananas turn creamy!

7) (Optional) Now is the time to add a scoop of peanut butter, honey, or anything else you care to mix in.

8) The ice cream will be the texture of soft-serve, but if you freeze again in an airtight container, it will get harder and more like regular ice cream.

I had contractions for about a week starting when they took my cervical cervlage out but no changes.  I don't mean bh either, full on contractions, regular and painful.   Then i noticed a change and started progressing quickly so active labor was about  23 hours.    

Baby A i pushed for half an hour.   

Baby B came 11 minutes after her sister but only like two minutes of pushing. The doctor pretty much pulled her out.
