now this film is not necessarily a horror film at all. however, it is quite disturbing and thus i think it needs to be acknowledged to the community. its a fun movie to watch if you have a thing for puppetry and stop motion animation. i've watched it maybe 3 times and every time i see something i didn't notice before. there's no words but there are sounds.

i have to say, i read reviews about this film before watching it and i just kept reading that it was "a poorly portrayed monster", "the boy was annoying", "bad acting" etc etc.
and i took all these comments into account while viewing this film. and i have to say, i liked this movie.
do i think the babadook creature could've been scarier? yeah of course. but it doesn't need to be.
the anticipation to see the monster's face is sometimes more important than the monster itself. in face i think it makes it all the creepier when its left up to the imagination of how terrifying it can be.
as for the acting, i think it was spot on. the child samuel is supposed to be obnoxious. anyone who's ever dealt with children with behavioral problems knows that this is exactly how they act. hes supposed to make you want to rip out your hair. i think his acting was perfect: very annoying and yet at the same time bearable because it does not get in the way of the story's development.
overall, it was a pleasure to watch. i don't know who i'd recommend it to because its not exactly a monster movie and its not exactly a psychological thriller. so anyone who's looking for something in between those i guess will enjoy it!

finally got the chance to see this little flick. another tale of revenge. i liked this movie because it was completely unpredictable. at least to me.
if you like bod mod and medical gore, this is for you.
once again, a film that i barely need to introduce.
this masterpiece is the ultimate controversial found footage film and its one of the first found footage horror classics. NOT and i repeat NOT for the easily offended or the weak stomached or the weak hearted. this movie WILL make your tummy turn inside out. and thats what makes it so fantastic. whats also incredible is that it not only jam packs a bunch of vomit inducing gore but it manages to sneak a wise international message into it all: Who are the real cannibals?

this movie has been staring at me on netflix for months.
i thought it looked like an action packed vampire flick but i should've done my research. this movie is if the ending of Carrie wasn't a dream. the only thing that bothers me about these kind of revenge bully movies is that in the end, everyone sides with the bullies because the revenge has gotten out of hand. and thats uncool cause they deserve what they get! haha.
idk if i should put SPOILER ALERT here or not but:
the part where the geek boy cuts off his ear and stabs himself is really trippy and creepy to me. and i think that was the highlight of the whole movie. i just think its a crazy tactic that some directors use to have the audience watch someone hurt themselves. stuff like that has always sent chills up my spine. (i.e. the cremation scene in Return of the Living Dead, ahh!)
well this movie was cute i guess.
its funny for people who watch ancient aliens and stuff and are into conspiracy theories. and its clever for horror movie lovers.
i don't know if i'd watch it twice but it wasn't terrible.

the first name's probably more familiar than the second. Amber Heard is the hottie who played johnny depp's companion in The Rum Diaries. this movie, shes not playing such a sexy role, but sexy nonetheless.
the film itself is not Phenomenal but its got some spine chilling scenes like Carpenter always promises.

one of the best werewolf flicks in my opinion. the transformation, the origin of the werewolf tale, and the ghost friend similar to Pascow (♥)
