The tiara will probably have to go when we start working out, but the rest of āfaerie princessā should hold up through jazzercise tonight and Iāll be ready to greet the ghosts and goblins and clowns when I get home.

Halloween can be worrisome when your kids donāt eat sugar- thatās where I come in.
Instead of trick-or-treating we have a different tradition. Iāve got a Mickey-o-lantern filled with sugar free chocolate goodies of all flavours for the beasties (and the ones we will be handing out to trick or treaters will be sugar free too), and then a box with new movies (a Halloween classic that he has never seen before- Hocus Pocus, and all the Ghostbusters because he LOVES Ghostbusters), and two extra little toys from his favourite scary game.
Now the sugar free candies in Mickey are okay for a few- but since they donāt use the best of āketo-friendlyā sweeteners I wanted to have even healthier chocolates and goodies for them too!!! So I stayed up until 3am tonight making a whole platter of goodies!!!! -White & Milk chocolate vampire fangs -Chocolate covered peanut butter pumpkins -Sour cherry skull and crossbones gummies -And spooky gingersnap cookies ALL SUGAR FREE, ALL KETO!!!!
And now I am exhausted and gonna go to sleep š
Tomorrow there will be carving pumpkins with the Manbeast and the beasties, enjoying all these goodies, CUTE NINJA TURTLE COSTUMES, and a spooky movie marathon! (Or at least as spooky as kid friendly movies can get! Lol)

Tomorrow (10/26) will be a stressful day
My grandmother (my bio!momās mom) left me a voicemail saying she is coming over. This is the same woman who for my birthday recently wrote me a letter about how my decision to cut the toxic ties to my bio!mom was an act of jealousy and envy and how ashamed she was of me because after allĀ āyou know how your mom can be.ā etc etc.
She is coming over, and I was too afraid to even call her and tell her not to come and that she wasnāt welcome here. Iām hoping the Manbeast is off tomorrow. Iām scared of being alone with the boys and her. Afraid she might bring Claudine with her.Ā
Dr. Jason Fung and Jimmy Moore said that stress was the biggest hurdle when it comes to healthy fasting- if that is true, tomorrow is gonna fck me up yaāll.Ā
I wish we had never had to leave California...I canāt stand being this close to them. I canāt stand being afraid in the place I live. Oh well...
Good mythical morning, everyone! Buddy System comes out today and I'm very excited about it!!! Thought I'd wake my beasties and the Manbeast up with some keto chocolate iced donuts!!! The donut base was this recipe: http://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/2015/03/low-carb-samoa-donuts.html (Though how the hell she got 14 donuts, or that my bro got 12 donuts yesterday I'll never know cause I only got 9 ššš) I completely ignored the topping instructions to the donut recipe above and made my Bray's Buttercream! To make it chocolate I mixed 84g of Lily's sugar free chocolate chips with 4Tbsp liquid coconut oil together in a mug and heated it for 45sec and then stir til completely melted and mixed. I let that cool as I made the buttercream. Then I poured the buttercream into a glass bowl and then whisked the melted chocolate into it, continuously whisking every once in awhile to keep it emulsified. Then scooped some spoonfuls into a ziploc to pipe onto the donuts and put the rest into a jar for later āŗļø
āØPursuing my passionsāØ I earned $10 doing dishes/cleaning the kitchen for my brother and saw this sketchbook/journal for $9.73 and knew I had to have it! I have wanted to go to a "Drink and Draw" for over five years and have never had the chance to go. This Saturday I may FINALLY be able to go to one!! So I got this sketchbook- covered it with some inspiration by: @ursuladecayart - Tumblr @Jewelians - Instagram @Sugarbone - Instagram @misskika - Tumblr And it has 3 different of styles of paper in it and is so awesome!! I'm gonna try so hard to go to Drink and Draw every month if this one goes well on Saturday. (I won't actually be drinking though- I'll be bringing my Keto MAX to Drink instead š) Here is to hoping for improvement, and rekindling passions!
THIS IS NOT A DRILL-āØI HAVE PERFECTED KETO BUTTERCREAM FROSTING!!! Omg!!! I will make a post about it all on itās own at some point. I am so so so proud! So I took the blondieās from All Day I Dream About Food that Iāve posted about before, and then made my own frosting to coat the top like a cookie cake. Then melted Lilyās sugar free chocolate chips with the tiniest bit of liquid coconut oil to make it pipeable and decorated the top with a web and two little spiders!!!! It all firmed up and came out so nicely!!! A HUGE hit!!! Then my brother in law, Joe, made some Keto donuts from a recipe we found on Facebook and upon taste testing them we were worried they were super dry BUT I blended some of my leftover melted chocolate with my buttercream frosting and coated my donut with a hearty layer of it and omfg it was better than any Shipleyās chocolate iced donut I had ever had in my life!!! SO DAMN GOOD!!!!!! Today has been a glorious day in the kitchen!!
I have been so tired of seeing the scales stubbornly stay within the 150s. But then this morning I put a shirt on that tight on me at my lowest weight (139lbs) and it's looser and fits better than before! (And not due to lots of wear either because I was so self conscious about how tight it was at 139lbs I almost never wore it.) My shoulders looks broader, it's looser around my waist, and my neck looks different too! I just gotta remind myself that it's a continuous journey and that the scale isn't the whole picture.

DRASTIC CHANGES CALL FOR DRASTIC MEASURES
Running on fumes sleep wise, sleeping through my alarm and missing the gym, spending more time cleaning, and re-cleaning messes and feeling like Iām about to blow up and explode- I needed a change. I needed something to rekindle my spark and to make all my hard work, worthwhile.
So Iām working on it!
Iām startinā MAX. Itās the newest, more bio-available version of Keto//OS and itās a game changer for me. You might remember me talking about this way back when I posted about the Yoga Expo. THIS STUFF IS FANTASTIC!! It kept me fueled and going for six straight hours of yoga, completely fasted! I wasnāt even hungry, and had a LOT of energy! Iām actually going to be using this toĀ āBiohackā my cycle and hope that it helps me combat cravings and water retention. Yesterday was my first day starting it and with only half a serving I ended up not being hungry til about 3:30pm, today was my first day having it with half a serving of BCAAs as a pre-workout and it made the BCAAs way easier to get down and it got me pumped to workout and gave me energy without the caffeine i normally intake before a workout. AND Iāve drank more water in the last 48 hours than I have in a couple months!
To go along with this first month of MAX I am sort of eating even higher fat ratios and making sure that one of my meals is very fat bomb centric and the other just nutrient dense. To do that I created a keto COOKIE DOUGH ICE CREAM that is absolutely divine and is a FAT BOMB!!! And DAIRY FREE! I am so ecstatic about how perfect the textures of the ice cream and the cookie bits came out. Thereās about 40 cookie bits shoved in that pint of ice cream!Ā
I also made mint chocolate chip ice cream fat bombs using- AVOCADO! If you do not like avocado, but want the nutrient benefits of Avocado- TRY MAKING IT MINT ICE CREAM!! Mint is such a strong flavour that it completely masks the avocado flavour. And chocolate makes everything better!
The peanut butter cookies were less for me and more for the beasties BUT they are easily the best cookies I have ever made and I created the recipe myself with some of the new sweeteners I got last month. They are absolutely incredible. Iāll post the recipe next time I make a batch- maybe Iāll even make a how-to video!!! Thatād be pretty fun!Ā
Thatās the main update I have for now- sorry I have been so absent! I keep trying to be on more, but things are all over the place. Iāll work more on it.Ā

10/26 Pre-op appointment
10/27 - Liquid only diet starts
11/8 - Surgery date!
11/16 - Post-op appointment
I am planning to be off work 11/8 -11/18 if all goes well.
Jennifer follows a similar schedule and will be getting done 2 weeks before Christmas.Ā
