Welcome to GALACTICSHAME, a Star Wars multi-muse rp blog with muses primarily from legends and Star Wars: The Old Republic (online).

The content of this blog is restricted to 18+ due to the nature of the content located here, the themes that are present and my personal comfort.

February was a long month due to you know... the water going out and electricity and crap. Now im dealing with the new expac + leveling + WFC is coming up next week. I HOPE things settle down by then.

"That is not an answer."

The air between them thinned, flexed. Arcann, for all his cannonade history, only ever dodged where it mattered. She had never expected him to reveal his wants so cleanly, because the hunger in his eyes told the rest of the story. Still, Agonia was not content with silence; she wanted to snap through the cancellous tissue of the thing, to taste the marrow beneath.

"I thought you were better than that," a cruel little needle, "Or is running away still your only play?"

He had spoken his piece. Ending the conversation quick and simple. He didn't need to have a long drawn out one for this, but . . . apparently, that wasn't going to happen. Not today at least.

A hand moved to scratch at the side of his face. He was becoming annoyed quickly and not the kind he could play off as amusement. True annoyance.

"Refusing to play your games," Arcann says sharply. "Simply that." Rather, he was refusing to play them on her terms.

Khan let the corner of his mouth twitch. It passed for mirth if one didn’t know him. The weight of Marr’s presence pressed against the hollow places in him and slid away without purchase. Always amusing to watch power reach and come back empty.

“Practical. Rare.” The words felt odd in his mouth— too close to praise. “You are one of the few who remembers that the point of power is to spend it well. The Council breeds parasites. You are an outlier.”

"The Council doesn't understand short term goals," he says bluntly. "They scheme for the long run, but fail to notice what is Infront of them. They cater to power, but rarely stop for anything other then their ego's." Marr was guilty of it as well, but not as much as the rest of them.

"They have a place, like all things, but they outlive their usefulness far more... quickly than they should. One rises and another falls, but rarely in the higher echelons of our order."

“A specific plan,” he echoes, dry.

Khan sets the holomap to spin, tracing three glowing lines across the fortress. Listens to Din Djarin’s clipped answers, the way the Mandalorian’s visor never seemed to settle on anything in particular—always scanning, always evaluating. Like a war droid that has forgotten how to shut off. Good. Vigilance is a dying art.

“The entry corridor is a death trap. Two turbolaser nests, overlapping fields. We still only have two options.”

A nod was given as they tapped their fingers for a moment. "Correct," he says. "The options are slim." And they were getting slimmer. He gestured towards the second option. "Out of the two, this has more potential," he says flatty. "We have a narrow window of opportunity."

"The only other option is even slimmer." He hated that they had limited options, but it was what it ultimately was out of his hands. "We can, however make it more suitable if it looks like we're going through both ways at once." It would be risky, but . . . if luck was not in their favor? Well, Din wasn't going to think about that.

"Easy," Echo droned, both to himself and the other clone in front of him, the old voice of 'traitor' slinking in the back of his mind. It was an accusation that had been thrown his way too, after he was freed from Skako Minor and the Techno Union, one he vehemently pushed aside then, but now under the Empire, he'd been labeled a traitor for certain. Funny way the galaxy worked.

Something almost like a smile cut across his lips, although it lacked the mirth, as his head bobbed in a small nod. "A lot of changes have been happening under the Empire," Echo acknowledged, the word changes doing more of the work of the sentence than not.

"I'm not here to chase old wounds," Echo said, still intact left hand flipping open slightly to show he was unarmed. Better to cut to the chase at the end of the day, who knew how long this location would be secure. "I just want to know if you've heard the whereabouts of any of our brothers."

The words did not help the clone. They didn't even make a dent in how tense he was right now. A thousand thoughts were going on in his head at once. Not simply about Echo, but about the entire situation - that someone he shouldn't have come across was there.

"You sure about that?" He asked. "Sure looks like you're opening quite a few." Slick could have said more, but he knew it wouldn't have helped matters. Not right now and most likely not anytime soon in reality.

"No," it was simple and to the the point. He didn't want to elaborate if he didn't need to. Nor did he actually want to do so either. It was more a matter of when and not off - maybe, just maybe he shouldn't have decided to take this damned floor. "I do not." And even if he did know? He wasn't going to say a damned word.

Anakin  saw  his  master's  facial  expression  change  instantly.  It  made  him  tense.  Was  he  wrong  for  telling  him?  Should  he  have  kept  it  to  himself?  He  was  reeling  emotionally  while  he  watched  Obi  Wan  process  the  heaviness  of  the  accusation.  This  was  the  truth.  Palaptine  confessed  to  him  about  knowing  the  Sith  Lords  and  their  histories.  His  office  was  littered  with  old  statues  and  other  things  that  the  Sith  held  dear.

It  didn't  take  Anakin  long  to  piece  all  the  information  together.  Truthfully,  he  should  have  seen  it  years  ago.  His  friendship  with  the  Chancellor  seemed  loaded.  Everything  up  to  this  point  brought  him  closer  to  darkness.  Of  course,  he  refused  to  answer  the  call.  Master  Windu  ensured  he  was  trained  properly  in  that  manner.

"He  told  me  a  story  about  Darth  Plagueis.  How  he  could  keep  those  he  cared  about  from  dying.  All  by  using  the  Dark  Side.  Only  a  Sith  Lord  close  to  him…  I  looked  through  the  archives  for  any  mention  of  Plagueis.  There  are  none.  I,  we  only  assume  it  was  his  former  master.  Palpatine  said  the  apprentice  killed  him  in  his  sleep."

Anakin  gazed  out  the  nearest  window.  Telling  his  master  everything  should  have  felt  like  a  lifted  burden.  Instead,  it  felt  like  he  was  adding  his  weight  on  to  Kenobi  as  well.  "I  think  he's  been  preparing  me  for  something.  Whatever  it  is,  I  have  a  feeling  it's  connected  with  his  so  called  lessons  he's  been  trying  to  teach.  I  don't  listen  to  them  anymore.  It's  wrong.  I  know  it  is."

Looking  back  to  the  other  Jedi,  his  gaze  turned  serious.  "He's  been  trying  to  pit  me  against  the  Order  from  the  beginning.  If  he  is  the  Sith  Lord,  it  only  means  he's  looking  for  an  apprentice.  If  he  doesn't  already  have  one."

NONE OF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPENING. None of it at all should have been. Too much was known and not enough was understood. There were too many questions - all of them were that Obi Wan couldn't answer. Not directly and not without extensive research.

The man frowned. He couldn't help himself as he chewed his lip for a moment. He could have said that this was nothing - it was nothing more then a story, but Kenobi knew better. He knew far better than he would ever admit - either to himself or Anakin to begin with.

If he wasn't told ANY OF THIS, he would be safer. Doubt wouldn't have crept into his mind. Neither would have this feeling that there was a weight crushing him - a place he couldn't get out of.

"That is not a story the Jedi know," he admits. "The Sith are vast. Their history even more then the Jedi," or so he believed. "If he knows... about Sith tactics and doctrine?" He didn't want to finish that line of thought process.

Kenobi begun to pace, rubbing his chin. "And I believe that he wants you for that role," he admitted. "That you should be the one to fill it - you know what this means, Anakin. If he has been working these strings for this long? He's more then simply a grand political figure. He is ... the very thing we feared." He could have said if this was true, but he wasn't going to place that much doubt. Not right now, but he hoped... this was all a misunderstanding.

If not? Oh, this was not going to be something he wanted to see progress. And yet . . . he had a feeling it was going to happen either way.

Echo had baggage, which probably was the understatement of the galaxy, but he wasn't ever one to exaggerate, not when there was a mission to accomplish. But for this particular mission, Echo's baggage wasn't going to impede the goal like it would for Rex, which meant that despite how much attention he would inevitably attract, Echo was the one for the job.

Looking up at the sound as the door opened, he watched closely as an all too familiar face came in. It was his own face after all. Or it was his own face at one point.

They'd selected a quieter warehouse in one of the Outer Rim planets, an out of the way place that wasn't typically known to be frequented by anyone in particular, which hopefully meant that the newly fledged Empire wouldn't consider it as a place for clones to meet, either under the Republic or currently. A brow quirked at the greeting before he spoke himself. "I see my reputations proceeds me--Slick."

Hands formed into fists at his sides. He kept his breathing steady, even if every single amount of training in him called him to run. To get out of there - not because he was near a clone. A brother, but because he knew what was said about him. He knew fully well that not too long ago? This would have been fine, but now? No. It was not fine - it was dangerous. No, it wasn't simply dangerous. It was quite possibly deadly. A reason to why he had to be careful. Calm.. not do anything that could be determined as not being able to recover from.

Surely, Slick could handle this.

"I don't see many of us around." Meaning the clones, brothers and those t hat were like him. "Surprised is all." About finding someone... about being known. There were many things he was surprised about, but he wasn't going to think about not now. Not anytime soon.

"All considering... I believe the term they use for us now is... outdated?" He didn't really pay that much attention to it. Other then fact that their time was allegedly over.

"Not everything is as it appears," He says flatly. "Sometimes, one must look at things from another perspective."

     One of three art galleries off the crowded main hall. The gala’s chatter is muffled. The meticulously spaced ceiling lights are bright, illuminating the varied artistic offerings. Brienne holds a half-empty Kali Cooler in one hand, her stroll paused as she peruses the canvas of the largest abstract painting in the room. Its accompanying info label goes unread. From a family of art collectors, but the interest never stuck, making this act of appreciation perfunctory. One should not attend a gala and forego the host’s displays.

     A polite nod acknowledges the Chiss’s presence at the other side of the artwork, while a fleeting glance at his insignia plaque offers an unnecessary reminder of rank. Gaze returns to the painting before he speaks, the suggestion prompting a curious curve to her glossy, rose-tinted lips.

     Sight circles the artwork, ruminating on his meaning before responding; voice is friendly, welcoming the casual chitchat. “Do you mean line of sight perspective or how one thinks?”

There was a slight pull at his lips, though it faded just as quickly. The Chiss gestured a hand to the artwork. "There is what is intended by the artist, what is perceived by the person and also what it is.

"How one believes is important. I see this is as fine work of art. From someone who had it commissioned or because they wanted to show the galaxy something magnificent. No matter the reasons for why or how it was made. It still defies it's original purpose - tell me, what does it make you feel? Not what you see. What you feel inside."

There it was. The true test: vengeance pronounced as justice, and for Khan to play the executioner with all the cold splendor Thrawn required. It crept through him like a vine, a slow-burning satisfaction at the prospect, and something older and more corrosive beneath the surface, a memory recoiling at the familiarity.

It took a full second before Khan replied, as if the sentence required that rarest of phenomena: deliberation. His jaw flexed once before the words emerged. “It will be done.”

A nod was given.

The situation was settled.

The Chiss had placed faith in Khan to do what was necessary. No matter what occurred - it was a test of faith and ability. To do what was wanted - not necessary what was needed. A proving...and one that the Chiss truly believed Khan would survive.

"See to it," Thrawn replies.

Phasma knew where Ren was coming from- sure, she didn’t have the Force but it was always a good idea to stay prepared and adapt to anything that might come their way. “I agree, we must keep our guard up. Adaptability is our greatest strength right now.”

The force may have screamed at him to turn back, but Kylo Ren was not going to listen to it. He was going to pay attention to facts - that may be his downfall one day, but he didn't care. Not right now. "Correct," he says flatly. "We may have someone on the inside. Someone noteworthy. It does not mean success - no matter what some would believe."

"When the doors open, you will lead. I will head around to the backside. It should be sealed, but not for long. It will allow me access and they will not know that they'll be flanked."

I am a Jedi. Anakin often repeated this sentiment. It echoed through his very being and resonated through the Force. Rivers of ebbs and flow as the current of the Dark, Balance and Light traveled until it hit his core. His very essence was a conduit. But Anakin was more than just the embodiment of the Force's will. He was a real living person. Like most, he had fears, truths and a story to tell.

Fear once held him back. It turned into will. His will wanted to carve his own destiny. To shape the stairs in the heavens, Anakin would do about anything to forge his path. Never would he comprise his beliefs. His truths were what drove him. Protecting those he loved was the idea that dominated it.

Anakin akined himself to the very myth of his childhood. A dragon born from Tatooine's desert sands. It shaped and molded as he grew. Once it squeezed his heart as a weapon of control, fear of abandonment, of his friends dying. He thought he had to save everyone. Until he learned to let go. Rejoice in those who were brought back to the Force. It was then he put his mother's memory to rest and his chains broke.

Stalking through the halls of an ancient Sith temple, the Hero Without Fear wielded his saber. A purple blade hummed in the air. His feet guided him carefully and silently. A turn of the corner and he felt it. The air turned into a freezing chill. A warning whispered in his mind, it was the Force telling him danger.

The voices in his head were much louder. More adamant that something was close - Nox silenced them with force. He didn't need them bothering him, but they would come back. They always did. That was the price of what he did - instead of allowing them free.

The Sith moved deeper within the complex, darting a corner and then going down a series of ramps that had seen better days. He could feel something else - he just wasn't sure what.

Another corner was rounded as a hand moved up and he made a small hand gesture; the door inffront of him was forced back - slamming into another room.

No doubt there was a loud reverberation through the complex - something, no someone was moving. And not caring about the noise they were making.

"Oh, this is interesting," Nox says as he stood before a statue that was in ruins. Some old sith, most likely, but it was old - even older then he was. "Not... what I expecting."

I'm an officer again in one of my guilds, so replies WILL be a bit slower + with prepatch and stuff + with midnight coming out I need to speed run my characters to max level. I'm going to get to replies on how I feel about them / what muse speaks to me ect... some will come sooner than later.

She knows.

She knows and hates that she does. Fathers like shadows, retracting and growing but never truly gone. There, always, fathers: not men, but violence and absence, a vector of ruin so complete it corrupts every want into a betrayal.

This, too, was birthright.

“What else was there? You took the only chance you were ever offered. And yet, the next time he returns, there’ll be nothing left of you to haunt,” laughter, then, bleak and serrated, “So what are you going to do about it, dear Prince?"

There was a much that he wanted to do. A fair amount that he could do. The problem, however was how much he could do given the power that he had.

Arcann clenched his jaw tightly, a breath was taken in and then let out slowly. "I'm going to do what it takes," he says sharply. "To take chances that are not offered." As for what that was? He wasn't quite sure right now as he moved a hand to rub at his temples. "To ensure things go the way I want them to."
