Galaxy’s Garage

Think of the most mundane thing.

Something you see everyday and don’t think about after it’s gone. Everyone has them but we don’t really notice them - unless they’ve become an inconvenience to us.

Cars are everywhere. We don’t look at them while walking down the street, or pay attention to them while driving - unless they’ve invoked rage from their lack of driving skill.

But then again, that’s not true at all.

We all know what the Ferrari logo looks like, and the Lamborghini one too. Porsches aren’t hard to spot. You might not know what a McLaren is but you’ll know it’s not a normal car if you see one on the street.

But why do exotic cars get to have all the fun being gawked at when people own normal, regular, cars that don’t look normal or regular.

My project started when I saw a little Yaris on the street with a custom paint job. The body was white with a black roof. Weird. It’s just a Yaris. But maybe it’s not just a Yaris to its owner. Maybe it’s Jenny, their first car they bought themselves or maybe it’s the only car on the lot they could afford. Regardless, it wasn’t a normal or regular car. It was special enough to catch my eye on a rather boring Thursday afternoon.

This project is dedicated to all the regular cars - and naturally all the un-regular ones too - that piqued my attention and made me take a creepy picture just cause I didn’t want to forget it.
