Deadly Temptation

I’m in the center of the ocean                                                                                Floating in an aimless motion                                                                              Because I drank a deadly potion                                                                          Without taking any caution.

I was so filled with desperation,                                                                              I lead to my own destruction.                                                                                  It was such a tenacious temptation;                                                                        I was victim to the Devil’s seduction.

Battle with the Parasites

Even though I don’t fit in by choice                                                                      How easy it is for parasites to develop                                                                  And spread - An invasion of my brain.                                                                    How easy it is for me to believe                                                                            When all I hear is the voice                                                                                    Screaming ‘’There is something wrong with you!’’                                                Echoing through the deafening silence.

I am left with two choices:                                                                                       I can give in to the voices and blow,                                                                    Or grip tight of reality and grow.

I choose to continue to fight.                                                                                   I choose to never forget that I am alone                                                            For I am different. Unique.                                                                                      I refuse to change and lose myself                                                                        In desperate efforts to fit in,                                                                                  Because of a burning desire to belong.

I choose to be myself.                                                                                             I choose to love myself.                                                                                         I choose to live.

Speculum

She is thoroughly beautiful;                                                                                    Her mind even more so:                                                                                          So caring, so kind, so loving...                                                                              But unfortunately she doesn’t know                                                                      How to care for herself,                                                                                          How to be kind to herself,                                                                                      How to love herself...                                                                            

She is drowning -                                                                                                Because she has been fighting                                                                              The waves for so long                                                                                            She is scarce of energy to keep swimming.                                                          The longer she stays put,                                                                                    The deeper down the blackhole she goes...                                                          And I fear she won’t be able to get out                                                                Before it’s too late.                                                                                                Before she is no longer herself.

Chimera

When I was in the cage                                                                                          Infected, my mind was, with people I thought dear.                                                If only I had realized...                                                                                            Maybe I wouldn’t be tainted with rage                                                                    And living in constant fear.                                                                                     If only I hadn’t fantasized...                                                                                    Maybe I wouldn’t be rotten with rampage                                                              And my growth could persevere.

Now I am learning to let go of this animosity;                                                        To let go of the fear, guilt, anger...                                                                        To replace the antagony with alacity                                                                      To rebuild and discover myself                                                                              Now I proceed on the path to euphoria,                                                                For I have forgotten what happiness is.

Catastrophe

I never knew what friendship meant,                                                                    For I have always been alone;                                                                                I tore myself into segments                                                                                    And dissolved into the unknown.

I gave parts of myself away.                                                                                  To monsters I fed myself: prey.                                                                              Lost amongst my own memories;                                                                          Too weak to find a remedy.

Now I neither swim nor do I sink;                                                                            Loitering, I shudder to think:                                                                                  How can I be my own saviour                                                                                For I am my catastrophe?
