Since I caught a real bad infection that accidentally turned a little septic (whoops, make this your sign to get attention as soon as your symptoms feel worse than a cold.), I went and committed a total binge on both early season era Law and Orders (OG and SVU.) and decided to make my personal fave girlies (also Abby who I still need to make.) 🩷 I have NEVER done the whole sim making but suddenly I’ve made about a load of sims in under a week… like, honestly, but because I’m a law and order fan page (… kinda???? My tumblr is really undecidedly universal ngl.) I just decided to post my ADAs for the law and order people just now, even though they are very amateur even by my standards and I’m a disaster. (Claire is my absolute favourite and the hair is such an injustice.)

My next goal is Abby because I haven’t yet had time… and I want to also try my hand at some of the guys but I’m working on my techniques first because I’m trying to do maxis match and not too realistic just in case the non realism players want some heinous storylines (looking at the extreme violence mod players rn and me🧐🧐)

I love that Dick Wolf really wanted me to believe Lennie Briscoe and Mike Logan would’ve cut contact, never to speak again until ‘Exiled’ after Mike’s punishment transfer to Staten Island. Lennie being disappointed in Mike for punching the politician, talking about it and his disapproval, when the pair of them were each other’s biggest supporters and enablers in situations absolutely nobody wanted to know them, and Lennie also having a habit of being violent on screen to some perps. You think Lennie was actually gawking in surprised or upset after two years of watching Mike giving people fist hickeys like he was watching a damn good episode of Jerry Springer.

Seasons 3, 4 and 5 of the OG Law and Order is essentially Lennie Briscoe smiling in the background as he turns a blind eye to Mike Logan as he goes on the most fatuous and riotous frenzy after losing his temper with someone who won’t cooperate or getting irked by a suspect and the entirety of the 27th precinct sprinting after him and reminding him that he can’t just whack male suspects for being unpleasant because it would get the department sued while Lennie just stands smiling and embracing the chaos that is simply Mike Logan.

Everyone in Midsomer is absolutely insane. No-one in the entire county has a sense of appropriate time and place. It'll be some innocent baby's christening or some nonsense and next thing you know one guest is screaming at another about a fraud they think they committed, someone loudly announces that the baby is an affair baby, two people are having sex in a store cupboard, someone else announces they want a divorce, and to top off the evening someone takes this moment to do a murder.

Us British people will wonder why there seems to be a large number of serial killers in the UK while we binge watch Midsomer Murders for the sporadic and quirky murders.

I still think one of the most iconic scenes of midsomer murders has to be when Dan Scott is five minutes in his role as Detective Sergeant and he’s staring at a brutally murdered woman in a flamenco dress and stockings with a rose in her mouth and Tom Barnaby is acting like this is all normal Midsomer behaviour
