“It’s missing. How did you misplace a robot that large, exactly?”
Jade’s doubt when Saphir comes scrambling to proclaim that Kaiser Dist is missing is palpable. Surely after last time the man had given it fail-safes so that only he could activate…
Oh. Now it becomes all-too clear. The following sigh is a little more tired than he means it to be, while he checks his phone again to track his double. Definitely moving too quickly to be on foot…
They would have to work fast, then.
“It would appear we’re after a set of robo-nappers.”
How terribly inconvenient. No doubt they were working their way as far away as possible before anyone caught on. Oh well. Tilting his head, Jade’s voice raises while he calls down the hallway.
“Anise, are you coming or not?”
Though it’s less of a question and more of an assumption. He knows better than to think she’ll sleep through this.

“Who does my copy think he is?! He can’t steal both my face and my work!”
Saphir had been steaming ever since delivering the news to Jade. Judging by how red his face was turning, the rice would be ready soon.
He was at least channeling his rage – it looked like he’s already whirlwinded through the garage/lab to get supplies for their upcoming trip. Most prominent was the portable power drill that he was waving around to accentuate what he was saying.
“Anise! Make sure you bring Tokunaga.” He pointed the drill directly at her, narrowly missing the wall.
“Anyone who steals my genius work of art deserves to be beaten down by my other genius works of art!”

“I heard you the first time!”
Hands wrap around the plush toy by her bedside, settling it on her shoulders to the tune of Dist bickering down the hall. Lips pursed tightly, memories that aren’t hers seem to bob and weave their way through her thoughts, and Anise gives her head a hasty shake before she turns the corner to the living room where two familiar figures stand.
Frustration in the youngest in the room manifests in the form of puffed out cheeks and a knitting of the brows, gloved hands settling on her hips as she points a finger at the significantly less mature of the two.
“Ugh, I can’t! They sealed my Tokunaga and I can’t use it at all! And stop waving that around before you break something!” It’s maddening, but that’s the hand she’s been dealt. This wouldn’t be as much of a problem if somebody hadn’t let his giant robot get mechanapped.
“Colonel, they’re going pretty fast...are we going to be able to catch up on foot?” All she’s got is Guardian, which likely won’t be much help, but hopefully herself is a lot easier to convince than...well, these two. She shifts in place, frown growing. “We can’t let them get away, or we’re going to be in trouble...dealing with more of you two is bad enough already.”
