This is going badly. Normally her super-cute absolutely unflappable charms work, but judging by the narrowing of the man in uniform’s eyebrows, this was one occasion it wasn’t going to fly. She has to prevent her own brow from twitching in irritation, swallowing down any thoughts of just kicking the guy in the shin as hard as her tiny frame would allow and bolting. After all, she has a public image to maintain!
Oh, he’s pulling out one of those weird black boxes. This isn’t looking good. She wracks her brain for another good excuse, eyes darting this way and that, before she sees it.
She doesn’t know what he’s doing here. Nor, in this moment, will she really care. If need be, she can interrogate him later...by force, if necessary.
“Oh, there he is! See, I told you there was nothing to worry about!” The officer pauses as she hops back a few steps, latching pink-clad arms around one of the unfortunate older man’s. Smile bright and eyes wide, Anise doesn’t wait for him to open his mouth, speaking over him should he even try to do so.
“I’m not alone, right — “ Just for good measure, she squeezes juuust a tiny bit, just to put the fear of god in him, “Pa~pa?”
