i totally didn’t forget to post this nope

a bard with windy powers and just like the wind he is easy breezy + never stays in one place for too long. his whole thing is freedom and going where the wind blows..

looks about 15 but is actually...quite a lot older. very much older. acts like a child quite frequently though so it’s fair to assume he’s just a silly teen sometimes

he does love a good drink though even if he doesn’t look old enough to order one! 

has a habit of causing trouble, not necessarily on purpose! he is quite cheeky... 

he’s a talented bard so you will most likely hear him singing through the streets of spirale, but not for free. he needs dollars. 

i would put more but i dont want to SPOIL so what i will say is that he is really sweet but also kind of a little gremlin who will steal your wine and glide away on the wind

Ritsu pondered the idea for a moment, trusting someone so easily had always been a struggle and the offer seemed like too much courtesy from a stranger. Perhaps the topic of paranormal events was interesting and the ordinary of it in his life wasn’t allowing him to see it from a different perspective. Rubbing the back of his neck he accepts the other’s idea but hesitates to word the sentiment when a thought crept its way into his mind, making him wonder if two pair of eyes were really enough for that.

The young esper still hadn’t figured out what was the length of the freedom spirits had received in that world, their visibility and boldness to parade themselves with no fear around humans. ❝ I guess…you can do whatever you want. I’ll just warn you, spirits and other “interesting things” are usually harmful and right now I don’t have the power to protect the both of us so don’t cause me trouble.❞ 

“ don’t worry, i’m sure we can handle anything together! “ he’s rather chipper considering it’s a rather morbid subject. well, it doesn’t have to be. spirits are not always the stuff of spooky tales after all. there’s a magic to what lies within the world, every world! he looks to the other with an almost wonder-like gaze, venti keen to find out more after eavesdropping his way into this poor stranger’s life. 

“ the name’s venti, by the way! if we’re going to be partners, we should at least have each other’s names. i can’t help much when it comes to battle though, but i can keep us entertained on our adventures with the power of music. what kind of music do you like? “

the bard ceases his playing and takes a short bow. “ your enthusiasm is infectious, miss! “ he grins ear to ear as the lyre hangs at his side. “ it’s kind of a long story, but a good friend of mine used a lyre just like this one! and, after all, a true bard is meant to record the glorious tales of the world, and that simply cannot be done on any old instrument. maybe we could play together sometime! “

even when it seemed like his eyebrows could raise no higher, they exceeded expectations    &    found a way to climb further, still, at the kid. it was like those hippies in the subway trying to grab your change by reenacting the radios top 20 charts on their shoddy violin. what the fuck is with people can they not behave normally there is no way his appearance it that inviting. arms crossed as the hunter looked down towards the…   was it mean to say blueberry    ?    well. mr. charlie    &    the chocolate factory over here.❝     ….okay.     ❞     slow, drawn out drawl putting to much cadence into the kansas in his voice.❝     great show kid, let’s never do it again.     ❞

well, that didn’t exactly go as planned, did it? he arms fall and the lyre ceases her song, leaving venti to raise an eyebrow up at the man in the unfamiliar clothing. “ i’ll have you know people pay good money for a show as good as mine! taverns boast of my talent, all desperate to host the skills i have to offer! “ clearly the man was not experienced with the ways of the world, sheltered perhaps from what a good bard may sound like. “ but i’ll forgive your rudeness if you spare some change. after all, as well as my talent for music i am also known for my kindness as well. “ so modest.

SIEBREN has always been in the habit of taking this holiday seriously, never mind the fact that his country didn’t much care for it. A year spent abroad in the United States, and his little head was hooked. Very few things in life gave him the same amount of JOY as a good spook or a tasty candy bar. But such a thing makes him … overzealous to put it lightly. And he’s now flailing his arms, looking quite comical in his ghostly pirate costume, a container brimming with candy CLUTCHED within his grip.

❝DID I scare you? I hope not, but you almost dropped this!❞

“ huh? “ the archon turned, the fake dragon wings and tail strapped to his back flapping at the sudden movement. a man perhaps three times the size of him was waving at him and charging down the street. typically, such a thing likely would be something to avoid, but the familiar container bursting with treats caught his eye. “ oh! hehe, guess that one slipped out of my hand back there! “ 

he was already carrying three buckets full of sweets, so it made sense that one would easily fall out of his grip. “ thank you very much, captain. “ he offered a formal pirate salute. “ that costume of yours is amazing! “

There was both a positive and a negative to this. On the one hand, Mitsuba wasn’t letting himself get excited about anyone that looked interesting, because they were probably just silly costumes and were boring (not that they were as cute as him one way or another). On the other, he wasn’t being freaked out by things as much as he might otherwise be, too, because they were probably just people in costumes.

Like the weird dragon guy that kept sneezing.

Mitsuba wasn’t exactly… none of what he was trying to photograph felt right, so this likely wouldn’t even work out (as much as the pixies seemed excited and were buzzing around him), but the fact that dragon-boy over there kept sneezing and making Mitsuba jump any time he thought he might get a good shot…

His tail swished as he mulled it over for a moment.

Alright. It was worth the risk. That guy looked way too much like a pushover to be any real threat with like, fire breath or anything, yeah? Yeah! Probably! And if Mitsuba knew anything about pushovers, well, hehe…

Oh boy.

“Hey, uhhh, d’you mind, Draggy? Some people are trying to do things here. You allergic to pixie dust or something?” Or cats, Mitsuba. Or cats.

it was definitely weird having scales. for one thing, they weren’t exactly soft and comfortable and felt rather cold whenever he touched them. he did enjoy the little wings however, especially with the loss of his abilities after all. lifting himself a few inches from the ground with the help of the little flaps they could manage wasn’t an efficient way of getting around, but it certainly was entertaining!

huh? he rubbed his nose before sneezing again. argh, even with the scales he was so itchy all of a sudden. gross! was there something in the air? his super keen dragon senses were picking up something, but it was difficult to place until...

“ huh? “ he turned and came face to face with a rather disgruntled looking stranger. their ears and tail twitching, they almost looked like a-- “ achoo! what? “ he sniffed. draggy? oh, was that supposed to be a joke? venti laughed before the next sneeze interrupted him. 

“ ehe, sorry about that, it just kinda started out of nowhere. i think it might be, um, “ he paused. “ a fur allergy, actually. “ a polite way of suggesting that maybe it was the candy pink catboy there. he sniffed again and red spots bloomed across his skin a few moments later. “ i didn’t even know dragons could be allergic to stuff like that! heheh! “

the bard leaps up and down upon the spot, arms waving as he summons the tavern owner over as soon as he catches sight of that burning flame of red hair. finding familiar faces in spirale was fortunate indeed, and this might just be his lucky day if diluc had brought any of his delicious drinks along with him! venti beams up at the man, arms coming to hang by his side once diluc wanders over. since it’s a special festival event currently in their new home, the god of freedom is donned in a costume resembling that of a green dragon, sparkly scales and fake fangs, even a tail whipping about behind him. 

“ hehe, i’m relieved to see you made it this place too, master diluc. i can’t imagine never getting the chance to drink your dandelion wine ever again! but... i hope that means mondstadt isn’t suffering too much without it. “ it’s down hearting to be so far from there now, with seemingly no chance to return, but he’d seldom let it show too deep how much heartache that truth is. “ well anyway, since we’re reunited here, why don’t we go to this festival together! you could even buy me a drink to celebrate! “

            The breeze dances on her face, tasting sickly sweet. Such a sharp contrast to the sugary spice the others would want to display, playing pretend at spooks and mock horror. Nay, this one dances to the tune of his own soul, free to do what he wills.

            It just so happens that she was in the mood to break some wills. And what a better target, than one who is so confident and comfortable with doing what he wants? She approaches him innocently enough - walking opposite his way at the sidewalk, nothing but a simple passerby. But not everything is so simple, not when she is quick to whisper down at his ear.

            “I know you. You think no one would notice, but I do.”

            Her words drip down like poison.

            “You’re a fraud.”

unlike, it seems, so many of the other attendees of the festival venti has yet to taste any of the treats on offer to the public. he’d found a costume and altered it himself, taking a cheap sewing kit to it to attach bits of sparkly fabric to resemble scales as well as adding a long, wiggly bit to the back to look a little like a tail. he was a dragon of course, nothing great and powerful like his dear friend but he did have a pair of fake fangs and that would suit him fine. 

he’s travelling alone, something he is far too used to, when a voice tears him away from his thoughts. “ hm? “ he turns and there, half-clad in shadows of the nearby building, stands a rather tall woman. unfamiliar robes pooled about her thin frame and venti’s brows furrowed as she spoke again.

a fraud? what did she mean by that? she’s a stranger, so perhaps she knows nothing at all, but the accusation certainly burns a hole through his chest, a hole he’d much rather keep hidden away. “ ha... ha ha. “ he tries to laugh, alas his surprise is not lost within his anxious tone. “ fraud? i’ve got no idea what you’re talking about, ma’am. “ the wind falters, just for a moment, as if hanging curiously on a paused breath. “ but, if you know me, then it’s good to meet you again! i can’t say i recognise your face all that well, but i’ll be sure to remember it next time of course. “

a sigh of defeat as the bard shrugs his shoulders. another bar and another instant rejection. he had hoped a song or two might allow some leeway with the guards ( bouncers ) this time, but instead of singing praises of his tale, the men had silently thrown him back to the curb. this left him with one final option; the small window to the backroom which was just large enough for his chest to squeeze through. 

however, the rest of his body was not quite that lucky. hips caught on the latch of the window itself and venti was unable to either move forward into the backroom of the bar, or reverse back into the street. “ oh, hehe... oops. “ wiggling did very little.  a little wind might have helped him through, but even trying to summon the smallest of gusts was impossible. “ um, anyone out there? “ instead he was left to hang awkwardly in the window, back legs kicking out wildly until a girl with hair the colour of a burning sunset just happened to walk by...

his head tilts to one side as a finger is brought to his chin in thought. “ i haven’t seen anything like that yet. but, heh, i only arrived last night! the secrets of this world probably wouldn’t reveal themselves right away, i mean i know i wouldn’t! “ he knows how unhelpful of an answer that is, but he continues after laughing awkwardly. “ i could help you look if you would like? with two pairs of eyes, who knows what kind of interesting things we might uncover! “
