How come I've never spoke about one of THE most 1nc3stu0us songs Noel has ever written? (Yes I Say That About All His Songs) If you don't know me, my name is Julia and I've been writing about Liam and Noel's complex and polemic relationship in this blog since 2016. The picture attached shows us the lyrics of a demo written by Noel in late 1994. It's from that old notebook of his that got sold on an auction for 23k quid. Because of its title, it seems to me it's an early version of Angel Child, which is also a very........... interesting song. I can even sing a few bits of Angel Child on top of this old demo's lyrics, but I'll talk about it later. We know the final demo released was only recorded in 1996 during Noel's trip to Mustique, but this draft makes me think it existed way before that. I'll transcribe the lyrics below so you don't have to read through Noel's horrendous handwriting: Starchild! Give me a cigarette It's all I can get Lately... Don't take the memories You might remember me Vaguely... I look to the sky - that I've kissed Dreams that were lost - hopes missed At times when I feel - like this I think I'll never see the sun (Chorus): I'd rather feel all the pain in the world than loss... I know the listing for that notebook claims it's from the early 90s but I honestly get the feeling it's from 1989 at the very latest, and not just because of the quality of these extremely direct lyrics; it reads like his other demos from 1989. "I'm going home" does suggest Noel has at least moved out of the house, though...

(if it is from a few years earlier, there is some tragicomedy in the idea of them being out somewhere and Noel declaring he's going home..... to the room they have to share. right. life's a bitch innit)

"when we do this" .... in context of what just happened at the whiskey a go-go what does this mean. when we fight? but in all accounts they didnt have any blow out fight at that show, noel just silently left. when we do drugs? obviously not that. when we play a bad show? then why as brothers and not how can we go on as a band?
