Hah! Might be a tie between Rookidee and Gallade. I've got a thing for corvids and managed to catch a shiny Rookidee really early in my playthrough of Scarlet. Big part of my team in Area Zero. And I've seen fanart of Gallade dressed as Link from Legend of Zelda, which I also love, and my very first shiny ever was a Ralts I caught in Pokemon Platinum.

Anyway, not sure what your plan is here, so I have to go back to basic principles again. "When up in material, start considering even trades and you'll magnify that advantage into a favorable end game."

I've never played any pokemon games but I have a bunch of friends that a really into Pokemon so that's why I know the basics and stuff but I love legend of Zelda! I've played a little bit of oot and Majora's mask (sorry if I spelt that wrong) but I was very young and didn't finish them, rn I'm playing botw I'm trying to get a bunch of hearts so I can get the master sword :)

I used to do a bunch of puzzles too, it helps me get more confident with endgame strategies, but its always the midgame where I have struggled to keep following basic principles. Ultimately, I think chess creators on youtube have been a better teacher. Any favorites? Eric Rosen is one I follow a bunch.

Go, pony, go! I've seen something similar to this position with a King's Pawn+Knight opening: It puts a second attacker on black's central pawn, but more importantly, it tries to bait out the F-pawn to bully the knight away. This ends up being a *really bad mistake* for black because the white Queen has access to h5 on the next move. Important midgame concept — look at what your opponent wants to do and prepare accordingly.

I really gotta admit I'm not that great at chess it's been awhile since I've played an actual game like this and I only really play the bots on chess.com (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

I struggle a lot with my mid and end game 😬

And that's fine for a bit, but it becomes quickly obvious that the bots don't play like normal humans.

A lot of people struggle to even understand chess at all. I can't get anybody at work to play with me. Even checkers is a lot for some people to wrap their head around so I'm glad for this opportunity at least.

This move though was hard. A third attacker on my pawn now and there's no way for me to add another defender to maintain the tension which means its dead. So if I want to still get value for it, I think I "Just Take" here? Kamikaze! 💥

For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.
