Solo Exhibition By Gamal Elkheshen
أَديم:
ظاهر الشّيء ووجهه، أَديم الضُّحى: أوَّله، أَديم اللَّيل: ظلمته وسواده، أَديم النَّهار: بياضه. يأخذك العنوان كحالة من البحث في المعني والوصف لاَدِيمَ، فيقول الشاعر أبو العلاء المعري (خَفِّفِ الوَطْءَ مَا أَظُنُّ أَدِيمَ الْأَرْضِ -- إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذِهِ الأَجْسَادِ) ففي وصفه لأديم الأرض أنه بقيّة رفات الأقدمين، حيث يختلط التراب بأجسادهم، وحيواتهم : صورة جوهرها الظاهرمنها، فيقال أديم النهار أي سطوعه وبياضه، أديم الليل أي ظلماته وهو ما نبحث فيها محاولة الغوص في اسرارها والابحار داخلها لاكتاشفه، رحلة خيالية عبر تحولات الأجساد وتعريفات الإنسان (العلاقة بين الجسد والأرض)، "ليس تحت أَديم السماء أكرم منه" فظاهره هو ماتبقي من ملامحة بتلك الظلمة التي تلاحمت مع الارض في باطنها (السمرة الشديدة).
رحلة خيالية عبر تحولات الأجساد وتعريفات الإنسان الذي تلاحم مع الأرض الفن فقط هو من يستطيع فهم رموز رؤيتنا ، ونسخها وجعل صدى لها بشكل أو بآخر.
وصف المشروع:
تعمل الأعمال المقدمة على توسيع تحقيق الفنان المستمر في موضوع المشروع المقدم (أَديم) فيتحدث عنوان المعرض عن مفاهيم البحث في اديم الارض ظلمته وسواده، لاكتشاف الاجساد المرتبطة بلون الارض فيقال في وصف ادم انة كان شديد السمرة وذلك من اديم الارض. يوفر مفهوم ابن عباس فقيل: هو مشتق من أَدَمة الارضِ ، وأَدِيمِها ، وهو وجهها، فسمى بما خلق منه وقيل: إنه مشتق من الأُدمة ، وهي السُّمْرة والاستقلال لكل منها للبحث عن التعبير الخارج من تلك الاجساد التي تلازمت ظلمتها بظلام الارض.. على الرغم من أن الاعمال المقدمة تقدم موضوعاتها على أنها مستقلة ومكتفية ذاتيًا ، إلا أنها لا تحتفل باصحاب البشرة التي تلاحمت مع الارض في باطنها (السمرة الشديدة) بل في البحث داخل تلك الوجوة للبحث في تعبيراتها. لتدين الظروف التي غالبًا ما تتطلب منهن تأكيد إنسانيتهن. اعترافًا بقدرة العمل على التعبير عن وجهة نظر موسعة للتجربة المقدمة ،... رحلة بحث داخل تلك الوجوة لاكتشاف اسرارها.. كما الارض.
Dermis-Crust:
The appearance of a thing and its face of Dermis, the end of the morn: it is beginning, the end of the night: its darkness and blackness, the end of the day: its whiteness. The exhibition title takes you to a case of research into the meaning and description of the Eternal. The poet Al-Ma'arri says: "Lighten the tread on as what I think it's the crust of the earth -- except these bodies" In his description of where the earth's remains are, the essence of the land is mixed with them.
It is said that the morn of (Dermis- Crust), its brightness and whiteness, Dermis of the night, its darkness, which is what we are looking for in it, an attempt to ambiguity in its secrets and to navigate within it to discover it, an imaginary journey through the transformations of bodies and definitions of man (the relationship between the body and the earth). That darkness fused with the earth's interior (the intense tan).
The exhibition takes you on an imaginary journey through the transformations of bodies and definitions of the human being who has joined the earth. Only art can understand the symbols of our vision, transcribe them and resonate with them in one way or another.
Description:
The presented works expand the artist's ongoing investigation into the subject of the submitted project (Dermis - Crust), so the exhibition's title talks about the concepts of research in the darkening of the earth's crust to discover the bodies associated with the colour of the planet. It provides the idea of "Ibn Abbas" About Adam's name that comes in Arabic. It was said: It is derived from the dermis of the earth, and its end, which is its face, so it was called what it was created from, and it was said: It is derived from the dermis, which is the tan and independence for each of them to search for the expression that comes out of those bodies whose darkness coincided with the night of the earth. The presented works present their themes as independent and self-sufficient. Yet, they do not celebrate the people of the skin that has bonded with the world in its interior (the intense tan) but rather in searching within that face to search for its expressions. To condemn the circumstances that often require them to assert their humanity—recognizing the ability of the work to express an expanded view of the presented experience, a search trip inside that face to discover it... as well as the earth.

This is a series of CTP printing that illustrates the 15 cantos of Dante’s Inferno. Combining Gamal's own Digital drawings and colage with images transferred with a chemical solvent from a metal plate to print out through lithography CTP printing, Gamal provides a contemporary context for Dante’s poem.
