So like... individual thoughts?
I fucking suck at Rhythm games so while I wish I could enjoy Rhythm Heaven, and it does look like it has cool ideas, it's a hard pass from me.
Orbiatals is a game I want to play, but I do not have anyone reliable to play it with, and as far as I know, there is no single player only mode.
I have, and never finished, the original Rayman Legends, I don't see why I would play a remake that gets rid of the awesome hand drawn style.
Big Walk just seems like streamer bait to me, the kind of game you make memes about but isn't actually good.
I guess One Piece cozy game shouldn't surprise me but yeah it feels so weird to me.
I still haven't bought Pokopia but this reeks of "We had this idea completed before the game shipped but we held it back to sell it as DLC"
I'm sorry, still don't care about Fire Emblem, but maybe i'll try and give the series another chance next year. But I'm definitely not starting with the newest one.
I feel like the world collectively forgot about Ninjala... it felt like a game that deseperately wanted to be the next Splatoon but just didn't have enough style, original ideas, or fun. I think I remember buying something I thought was going to be a story mode but I ended up not figuring out how to activate it?? If the new game is single player focused, it could be worth looking at.
The whole "Challenge event" thing seems cool but like, why the fuck is it limited time??? That's fucking stupid.
I still haven't played a Xenoblade game but I might actually take the plunge this year, but I was thinking about buying the Switch 1 versions.
I thought literally everyone hated the Sports Mates, why are they back? Nintendo sure does love to double down on shit when everyone tells them it fucking sucks, huh? Im sorry, I kind of checked out when they said Nintendo Switch Sports, so I don't remember much of what they said, just the overly long thumb wrestling demonstration. Apparently there was a lot of shit to unlock but you had to play the online to get it? If they bring that shit back no way am I looking at this game.
It's cool that they're making a new 2D Final Fantasy but the summoning of classic FF heroes makes it reek of "SPINOFF" like World of Final Fantasy, they should let these games stand on their own.
I don't get why they couldn't show off the gameplay footage of Dragon Quest Monsters in the actual Dragon Quest anniveresary presentation. I'm probably not picking this one up since I haven't even started Dark Prince. I don't know of DQM is for me, I've never finished a game.
I've already pre-ordered Splatoon Raiders but i'm starting to get cold feet, it really just looks like expanded Salmon Run when I was kind of hoping for more of an adventure game of some kind... guess i'll find out when the game comes out, cuz i'm probably not cancelling my pre-order.
I've moved my minecraft playing to PC, so I don't see myself returning to Minecraft on Switch 2, even if the update is free... then again, my mouse is really shitty, so maybe I'll give it some thought.
No opinion on Deltarune. Still haven't touched it. Loved Undertale. Fandom is a bit annoying. I was waiting for Deltarune to be "complete" before playing because I don't like games as episodic releases.
Legit excited for the Kingdom Hearts native ports but I feel like I would have been more excited like 3 or 4 months ago, when I was knees deep in Final Fantasy hype. Because now I don't see myself picking them up until they go on sale. As for KH4........ Sora does not look right with those more realistic proportions.
And then Ocarina of Time...... man I am so worried. They showed nothing but what they did show raises so many questions. How much voice acting will there be? Did you see what he was wearing? No boots and no cap, which makes sense if he's in bed, but I just have a bad feeling he's not going to have his iconic cap at all in this game, just because he didn't have it in BOTW. What are they going to change about this? What will the other characters look like? Will dungeon layouts be the same? So many questions. Please, please, please be good, please don't be a bad remake... ugh, I know people are going to say it's superior to the original no matter what because "muh N64 is clunky, nobody can play anything older than they are anymore, bluh bluh bluh bluh" fuck off.
If I didn't mention a game, it's because it just flew under my radar that bad and I could not care about it at all. Sorry, the Fromsoft pedigree means nothing to me, as the only game from them I've even played was 3D Dot Game Heroes, which they don't seem to give a shit about.
Like I said, not a good Direct for me. Literally all of the good stuff was games we knew about or old games, and the one big thing was leaked ahead of time and not even shown off properly.
