finally did it and broke out the lego yesterday, made a big cluttered mess of my living room in the process but I'm having fun :). got the yoshi & mario in the background to a displayable state (no tongue functionality, various missing pieces) and now I'm swapping red for teal in hospital 2017 to give it a more modern-looking visage. it is at the sacrifice of other sets I really like (garbage truck, parrots) but fuck itttttt this looks slick as hell

I really appreciate your relationship with sobriety and other addicts' journeys. I'm an opioid addict who is mostly sober but I'm also significantly disabled and know my biggest trigger is uncontrolled pain which can often only be controlled by strong opioids. I've overdosed on opioids, sure, but I've also overdosed on paracetamol out of desperation trying to control pain without proper access to opioid medication. Sobriety is a really important tool for me but so is access to medication and it's really hard to find other addicts who are comfortable acknowledging that.

People want addiction and drug use to be a black and white simple question with straightforward universal answers so badly, but it's an extremely complex issue with tons of individual nuance and any attempt to deny that is straight up dehumanizing addicts.
