Your home a new prison - Freedom for Gr. Tsironis
On December 7 2017, anarchist Grigoris Tsironis was released after 18 months of imprisonment and was placed under house arrest with 24-hour police surveillance. This unfavorable development at our comrades’s expense is added to the long list of targeting and persecution against him by the police and the judiciary.
Starting from 2006, he was found with manufactured items wanted for bank robberies and blamed for 600,000 euros as a member of the “black robbers”. After 9 years of absconding, the trial is unanimously acquitted. However, he is jailed as a member of the “Distomo robbers” and the indictment is upgraded with the false allegation that dozens of unidentifiable robberies of banks are part of the action of the Revolutionary Struggle. “… This case is the continuation of the” anti-terrorist “campaign of the Greek state, as it condenses all the repressive and publicistic narratives that start from the corrupt police offices, turn into constructed truths from the dirty mouths of the journalists to end up being made formal accusations in documented cases with the signatures of the judicial officers of “independent” justice. At this moment, Grigoris does not breathe the air of freedom he is entitled to, but he is imprisoned in his home.” text snippet of incarcerated anarchists “… Besides, for me the role of civil justice was and still remains clear. It is a class justice, which serves and preserves the interests of the oligarchy. A justice eventually exhausting its vengeance to poor proletarians and political opponents of bourgeois democracy, co-signing the transgressors of the prosecution authorities and condemning them to abusive sentences without a trace of evidence, with only a single indication of their political identity. ” Gr.
