realized i never posted my necron oc here, this is homitaph the remaining (he/she)! he hails from the sarnekh dynasty, led by the phaeron thaszar the invincible.

she was the only surviving necron in line for the overlord title on her planet after a deadly solar flare wiped out the other candidates. he's more expressive and eccentric than your typical necron as a result of being awakened too early; she's constantly remembering himself as existing as a different gender during her life as a necrontyr, so he's constantly changing his vocal output depending on if she remembers herself male or female.

being part of the sarnekh dynasty, she has her own small pirate fleet to command under thaszar. he uses destroyer squads to eliminate those pesky biologics getting in the way of him extracting ship parts/resources from various planets.

this was his old design btw, i got inspired by the bright paint colors i ended up using for my necron warriors. i definitely prefer her new headpiece design

finally finished this beast! schoolwork has been crazy lately so this one took a lot longer to get around to polishing up.

the gutterman is my favorite enemy in ULTRAKILL god their lore and design is so cool, i had to draw one

anyway this was super fun and i'm really proud of how this turned out, this is the part where i show my process because this was an incredibly involved and detailed project for me

first i posed and positioned v1 and gutterman in blender and added some basic lights to get a general feel for how the light would bounce off gutterman

then i sketched the scene out while referring to my blender reference and blocked in the basic colors i wanted. lucky for me, the violence layer has a very simple color palette

then bada bing bada boom from there it was standard linework, coloring, shading, all that jazz. all the color detail i put on gutterman here ending up being covered by the sharp lighting and shading i did. also i ended up adding the earthmover in the background because that upper left area was looking empty

thanks for viewing my art i spent numerous hours on this and am fairly satisfied with the results smile
