Gamma rambles on about children's media for a bit too long
-The Astro redesign still isn't perfect but it fixed a ton from the initial 2024 design we've seen. It'll look better in motion, methinks.
-I kinda dig the design for "Atom". Reminds me of Reno from 03.
-Silica isn't Nikki so I don't like her. Alright but for reals, she's kinda neat. She's also a science-y type, and apparently she also has a crush on Astro? Smells like Miraculous in here…
-Neetis is neat, I like him a lot. As a kid I really liked Kennedy in 03 cuz he was one of the few black anime characters that a black kid could identify with so I like how that spirit is carried on with him. His dad is Tawashi, who I assume is going to have some traits from Daddy Walrus, and I dunno how to feel about that. Makes him similar to Kenichi's other potrayals in manga, though, so that's cool.
-Beryl's great. I really don't like Astro's parents, and while Ochan is a good dad in 03, he's a bit up there in age. Beryl is the perfect compromise. She's like a more active version of 03 Ochan, with the tenderness of Rin.
-Uran… what the FUCK did they do to you giiiiiirl? Who did your hair? Oh nooooooo… Other than that she's perfect. Uran's a really hard character to mess up so I'm glad they mostly stuck the landing. Giving her powers can definitely allow for more humorous things with her, and I like her dynamic with…
-"Okimo" I really like. He's described as "Master Roshi without the creepy part", which I think I'll like cuz aside from being a creep, Roshi is a good mentor. Okimo seems like that kinda grandpa everyone wants, just a nice, sweet old man.
-Neru, Sephi, Aiko, they're the bully group. Boring.
-Mitoshu feels like a huge narc, which worries me. Daddy Walrus is usually the school guy, and Mitoshu is supposed to be the school's disciplinarian, so if this is Daddy Walrus, I'mma be hurt, cuz Daddy Walrus ain't no narc, he's awesome.
-"Zoé Gamma"/Shadow (whichever name is final) is already my favorite, my soul for her. A loud, eccentric egomanic super villain scientist? Easy recipe for success, in my book. Her dialog in the scripts and her gimmick with Athena gives me life.
-Lune is our Atlas equivalent. And I love her too. Lune mixes 03 Atlas' themes of rebellion, with 80s Atlas' tragic nature. I really hope they go deep into the storyline of her wanting to be like Astro, 80s Atlas seemed to have that but dumped that plothread quick.
-"Orion" I can only assume is our Pluto equivalent, with descriptions of his massive size, as well as hints of Blue Knight what with the sword and warrior background. I like his and Joy's dynamic.
-Lamp is here, I guess. He's got these "Mega Fighter" dudes as a militia, and that's something. I don't really care.
