Open for plotting. If we started, and I haven't responded/replied, I most likely didn't get it or see it. Mianhae.
Can I Help You? || Bom & Yunho
Within a few days of the interview Yunho had asked Bom to start. He needed someone he could trust to do some things around the place, even his assistant didnât seem quite trustworthy enough, but then again, Bom was part of his pack so he trusted her quite a bit more..he had no issues with trusting her quite quickly, either. Even if he hadnât known her for forever, he figured she had enough respect for him to not screw him over and to be honest with him, so he offered it vice versa.
The alpha had asked her to show up around 9 so he could walk her through the first day, heâd already had an area set up for her until they could clear an actual office. He was in and out so often he didnât mind having her close by, just in case she needed anything. Again, heâd rather train her and set her up with everything she needed than to have his assistant do it, who seemed a little irritated that Yunho had taken over with this whole hiring process.
Humming as he seated himself after his appointment, he sighed and pushed his hair back and out of his face, turning his chair to face out the large windows that gave him a view of the hustle and bustle of Seoul.. maybe the first thing theyâd do was grab coffee.
It was a few minutes before 9 when Bom entered the building and stepped into the elevator to go up. She was dressed in an outfit that was just barely considered appropriate, with it's short, navy blue skirt and low-cut, white and navy-striped top. It left barely enough to the imagination, her navy blue heels only furthering many of the imaginations of people she passed by. It was warm, so she felt no need for a sweater, and definitely didn't bother.
It was two minutes to nine when she walked out of the elevator and straight for Yunho's office, making sure the bun she had managed to tie most of her red locks into was well secured. She shot a glance at the assistant who seemed somewhat resentful of her, offering her a cheerful smile before knocking on the office door. "It's me, Bom. I hope I'm not too early," she called through the door.
This job meant a lot to Bom. To her, it solidified her place in the pack, as belonging, and it was also helping her get her feet steady on the ground again. She could start paying her landlord each month, and take care of bills. She could get away from the easy-cook meals that she had turned to. Hell, she could buy new clothes and shoes and even a few handbags. Her life could get moving again, and that was what had her most excited.
Send my muse a dream, whether it be a nightmare, a wet dream, a trippy dream, or whatever else and I'll write my muses reaction waking up after that dream.
Barriers | Bom & Chanyeol
The way she spoke was actually quite endearing more than anything else, and it made him grow fond of her by the minuteâ because she was different. Like a breath of fresh air? Something like that. He didnât have much friends, simply because he didnât have time to make any real ones, although it might have been a little more complicated than that.
He smiled right back, feeling the awkwardness fade slightly as he brought his hand back down to his side after she shook it. âTea would be nice, yes. And now that you mention it, I quite fancy eating out, too.â He replied, his head leaning forwards a little; indicating that he was more than interested in getting something to eat. âPrivate sounds good. Just in case, right?â He chuckled softly, arm motioning for them to begin walking. âLead the way.â
Bom took Chanyeol's cue to begin walking towards the restaurant she had mentioned just a few moments before, walking slowly at first so Chanyeol could walk beside her. She was glad that he didn't seem awkward with her at all now. It made things easier, and it gave her a better outlook on her situation. Not to mention it also helped her to try and fit in more with her new pack.
Like her packmate, she hadn't made many friends yet in Seoul, despite living here for almost a year now. She barely left her rooftop apartment, occasionally laying out in the sun to get just a little bit of color to her skin. It was how she kept her skin pale, but not sickly.
"I just like private better...It's easier to talk. Then of course, just in case." She chuckled softly as she walked alongside him now, holding her purse in front of her as she watched the passing buildings, looking for the restaurant they were heading to.
Barriers | Bom & Chanyeol
It slowly hit him after sheâd spoken; about why heâd been assigned her and to find out for himself. It wasnât that he couldnât understand her at all. She had an accent, yes, but it was nothing he couldnât handle. Perhaps people were over-exaggerating the situation, saying it as such just so they didnât have to put the effort into trying to understand herâ and that very thought infuriated him because he knew people like her deserved better. He shouldnât be jumping the gun though.
He nodded at her words, flashing her a smile that wasnât too friendly but wasnât too insensitive either; for he was all about first impressions. He bowed back politely, holding out a hand for her to shake, his eyes silently studying her and the way her hair dipped in front of her face as she bowed. âItâs a pleasure to meet you too and yes, Iâm Chanyeol. Iâve um, been assigned to you? I donât actually quite know why.â
But he did. Well, he had an inkling of what it was about. He figured this wasnât going to be so bad though. She seemed friendly enough, which was good because he was never good with awkward people, being quite the awkward one himself when it was just him as Chanyeol and not the actor.Â
Bom knew exactly why Chanyeol had been assigned to her. While Yunho had been very welcoming to her, it was a little rougher sailing with the others. Her accent seemed to be the biggest problem, with it messing up her pronunciation and the fact that she mostly spoke properly. Either way, Bom was far from in the dark about why someone would be 'assigned' to her.
Nothing he said caused her smile to fade in the least as she shook his hand gently. "Let's go sit down somewhere, and grab some tea or coffee? I'm a little hungry too...Are you?" She was doing her best to stay as bright as she could, her head tilting to the side curiously. "I found a nice restaurant around here...It's really private too."
Can I Help You? || Bom & Yunho
Oh, there was no interest in the elevator.. just the usual wait for the numbers to change and the door to ding open, which it did after she had answered his question. Humming, he motioned her out first, then followed, lifting a hand to touch her shoulder and guide her towards his office. Once again he greeted a woman behind a desk, who gave them a bit of a strange look, but seated herself once more and continued on with her work. Pausing to pull the flashdrive out, he murmured a few directions and watched the woman nod and continue on, never once looking from her screen after the initial greeting.
"Coffee? Water?" He finally spoke up, looking to Bom and pointing to what seemed like a lounge area, "We need more multi-lingual people on board, honestly. Thatâs not common anymore..we have people call from all over, and i hate having the mad dash to find someone to translate," he sighed, heading into his office with her after she had decided if she wanted anything. Normally he wasnât one to request such mundane things from his assistant, but this time he figured she could handle it.
"I wouldnât need you to do sales, just book flights, meetings and follow up with schedules and a few of my colleagues.. weâre mostly stationed in Korea, but we just opened a hotel in America, and the ones in Japan are doing well, but they all speak English pretty well, so if they call yoou should be fine.." Yunho was musing to himself now, plopping into his chair and crossing his legs as he looked back to her, cocking his head, "Is there anything you specifically are looking for in this job?" He paused for a moment, listening, "And how well are you with others of our kind? Beside the pack. A lot of those i do business with are hard-ass alphas running around in other countries. They can be a little bitchy, but they mean no harm, I dont think."
She stepped off the elevator when he motioned for her to, pausing just off the elevator to wait for Yunho to lead the way again. She followed after him quietly for a few moments until his offer, nodding some. "...Do you happen to have tea? I'll drink any kind you have." She glanced briefly at the other woman before following him into his office.
Looking around for a few moments, she sat down in a chair in front of his desk, smiling politely as she crossed her ankles. "So...I just have to run schedules and make sure everything's in order. Occasionally, I might need to translate something, but all in all, it doesn't sound like a problem." Her smile then faded when he talked about other alphas, chewing on her bottom lip for several moments before she spoke again.
"...As long as they mean no harm, I can handle them. I'll be honest with you, I'm not that great at fighting on my own. If they were to attack me, I'd more than likely be killed. I'm better at running and hiding...Much better at that."
Can I Help You? || Bom & Yunho
Chuckling at her, he made sure she had fallen into step beside him before continuing on, moving to tuck his hands into his pockets. âI dont mind, I can have my assistant print it off for the files. I doubt I really need to interview, honestly, Iâve seen how you are, but, for formality,â he grinned at her playfully, stepping up to the said building to pull the door open for her, allowing her in first.
Once inside, he bowed his head to the woman behind the front desk, then reached up to take the flashdrive once she had fished it out, âSo,â he began, pressing the button to the elevator, âTell me why you think you can do this job. Iâm a hardass, as you know,â teasing still, of course. He smiled at her to show his playful undertone, looking down at the flashdrive as the elevator dinged open and he absently stepped inside. Humming, he slipped it into his jacket pocket for the time being, not wanting to drop it or break it.
Yunho was normally a pretty easy man to deal with. He had a good sense of humor and was mostly laid back, until it came down to serious business, then he could swap over pretty quickly. Looking up to the changing numbers, his bright eyes studied them, then fell back to Bom, cocking his head curiously while waiting for the answer to his question. Might as well do a little bit of an interview, and talking in passing out be helpful, since he was honestly not worried about hiring her on. If he had known sheâd wanted a job, he could have done something about it earlier, honestly.
"Oh good, I'm glad." Bom smiled as she walked into the building, letting her purse rest at her side again. She was nervous at first, knowing now that Yunho was who her interview was with. In the short time she knew him, he had been...A little nerve-racking. While he didn't terrify her, her certainly caused her to watch what she said and did a little bit more around him. Maybe it was because he was her new pack leader, and that was her mind's way of showing respect.
She stepped onto the elevator with him, looking down at the floor once the doors closed. She had watched enough of elevator numbers and doors that she honestly just didn't care for them anymore. There most likely wasn't a single elevator in the world that would catch her interest anymore.
Her eyes looked over at him as she raised her head, tilting it to the side at his question. "Ah, well, I'm multi-lingual and I have very good computer skills. I've answered phone calls in the past as a telemarketer for a short period of time, so I also have that pretty well down. I speak English, Spanish, French, and Korean, and I can type a four page document in less than ten minutes." Her responses were proper, treating the question just as seriously as he had asked it. "I don't have very much job experience, but from the jobs I have had, I've always received praise and I once received an employee of the month award for most sales in the month."
Can I Help You? || Bom & Yunho
Glad his reflexes had paid offâhe wouldnât want her to topple.. He offered a smile once she was back on her feet, sliding his hand down her arm before pulling it away so she could stand on her own. Blinking at the mention of an interview, he nodded, shifting a bit and reaching out to take the paper that was offered. He tended to understand her accent moreâeven some englishâdue to his business background, which paid off when they had first met. Still he was a little confused at times, but, it didnât seem to bother him or put him off about the woman.. just another charm.
"Youâre looking for this place?" He eyed the address, then offered the paper back, bright eyes lifting to meet her own, "Thatâs my building. I didnât know you were the one interviewingâ" His assistant had just mentioned a young foreign woman, which brought a completely different image to his mind, really.
"My assistant was supposed to interview you, but," he laughed at the irony, reaching up to fix a few strands of her hair, "Let me look at your resume. Itâd be nice to have someone I know around," and with that, he motioned for her to follow, heading down a few more doorways to a taller building, sticking out with colors and a larger use of windows than the surrounding buildings.. he didnât like to stick out too much, but he also didnât like having a dark interior.. then again, he wasnât picky about his architecture most of the time.
Her face lit up when she heard that it was Yunho's building, standing straighter as she held up her purse. "Oh! Well then! I didn't know you owned that one in particular...I guess I should've been more nosy." She teased lightly as she started to walk beside him, easily keeping up step for step.
Yunho was one of the first people to make her feel welcome when she came to Seoul. Then again, he was the only person she sought out. When she had gone into hiding while her former pack was being attacked, her uncle had handed her a small, wooden box with an old, jade coin inside. It was from one of the original werewolf clans, and he told her to follow the coin's reaction. That was all he had time to tell her before she had to run.
Long story short, she found her way to South Korea, and finally Seoul, with the coin inside glowing when she grew closer to Yunho. That was how she came to the pack, how she found her new home. Some coin that she normally would've left in a drawer somewhere. Some ancient coin that belonged in a museum had saved her.
"I have my resume on a flash drive, if that's alright. I was running later than planned this morning, so I didn't get to make it to a printer." Opening the over-sized clutch, she pulled out a simple, red flash drive with 'resume' written on it in gold sharpie. "I really hope it isn't a problem..."
Can I Help You? || Bom & Yunho
Well, it wouldnât exactly jump out at her. If nothing else, it would bump her. Yunho normally wasnât in this much of a hurry, not by a long shot, but he had come back from a meeting a little later than he thought, and, wellâneedless to say, the bump to the smaller girlâs shoulder had been harder than he expected, and he automatically twisted to take hold of her shoulder, murmuring an apologyâuntil he caught who it was.Â
"Ah, Bom.." He breathed a semi sigh of relief, glad that it wasnât a mortal this time around.. he could have really hurt them. Blinking at the mixture of nervousness and.. something else, he cocked his head after a moment, arching a brow. Yes, normally she was quite confidentâthis was strange.
"Is something wrong?" His rush was previously forgotten, now replaced with concern for his pack member, bright eyes studying her expression for a long moment, "Are you waiting for someone?"
Despite what she was, the bump caught her enough off guard that she began to fall backwards with a loud yelp. Yunho's arm was the only thing stopping her from hitting the ground. "Oh, Yunho...Sorry." She bowed her head quickly as she stood back up, straightening out her dress.
"I'm actually on my way to a job interview, but I can't find the building...I'm still learning addresses and streets." A soft laugh left her lips as she stood up on her own again, glancing down to the paper in her hand. "Maybe you can help me find it real quick...It should be right around here. I should've printed the map too..." She held the paper up so he could see it, pointing to the address with a well-manicured finger. "I'm hoping to get a secretary's job...Then I can finally pay the landlord all the rent I owe..."
Bom was still in the apartment that she had first rented a year ago. Off and on she had been able to pay rent, even paying extra when she found the money to. Her landlord was kind, and actually put up with her being short of money for the past three months, since she did always ultimately pay. It wasn't much of an apartment, but it was one that the landlord had trouble renting to others. It was a nice, rooftop apartment, though the stairs going up to it were a pain in the ass when her feet were tired and sore.
So, Bom's Korean isn't quite shit, but it's not great either. She speaks mostly formal, and has yet to use any actual slang. Her accent also makes it harder to make some sounds, and so sometimes her words come out sounding muddled. It makes it a little bit harder for her to communicate, but the accent is slowly fading away.
Barriers | Bom & Chanyeol
It was strange to have Chanyeol called out for an assignment of some sort. Ever since he was accepted into the pack, he hadnât really been given anything majorly important to do - it was instead given to those who had better control of their abilities. Heâd probably get there someday. He was the type to usually just blend in, obeying the higher ups as well as showing respect for the ones below him. The pack members usually let him be, what with him focusing on his career as an actor.
He hadnât really heard of a fellow Gamma in their pack called âBomâ either, but that was probably because heâd been far too immersed into playing his roles that he usually just collapsed at the end of the day. Either that, or maybe âBomâ was too timid to even show herself. Or perhaps a bit of both.
The girl, now just an armâs length away with her back turned to him, was apparently the âBomâ that heâd been assigned to approach. He didnât really know the exact reason, the only given explanation being âtalk to her and see for yourselfâ. Clearing his throat (he tended to be quite socially awkward under these kinds of circumstances), he tapped at the girlâs shoulder, readying himself to put on a friendly smile. âBom, right?â
Bom hadn't been waiting long at the place they were supposed to meet, having only been standing there for a few minutes. She was glad she had left early, as she ran into a bit of trouble finding the place. She had just slid her phone back into her purse when she felt the tap on her shoulder, jumping a bit as she turned around.
A smile came across her face as soon as she saw who it was, assuming that the man who knew her name was the one she was supposed to be meeting. She bowed her head politely, her smile only growing. "I'm Park Bom. It's a pleasure to meet you! You must be Chanyeol."
Bom felt...out of place. For the first time in her 25 years, she felt like she didn't really belong. Seoul was so far from her native England, and the faces were a lot different as well. The language was different too, though she fortunately understood most of it. Just because she lived in England and spoke mostly English didn't mean she was cut off from what was her familial tongue.
An English accent sounds really weird with Korean, and it only made her stand out and get weirder looks than the tourists that attempted Korean. At least they looked foreign, but she...She looked like she belonged there. Her sensitive ears picked up on the words that were whispered and giggled when she walked away from this person or that, all of them talking about how she was hard to understand and seemed weird. It made the usually over confident girl feel just a little...less confident.
She had a piece of paper clutched in her hand, one for a job interview. She had already found herself a pack, and a place to live. Now she needed work to sustain that. She had set her hopes high, hoping to get a secretarial job somewhere. She was multilingual, able to speak English, French, Spanish, and Korean without much problem. At the very least, she could understand it without a problem.
Bom glanced down at the paper for a few moments as she paused on the sidewalk, hoping something about where this place was would just...jump out at her...
By the way, if anyone would like to plot with or anything of the sort, my ask is (finally) open.
