Just to clarify, this post is about me, not Gangle. I'll probably make a post about her later :)
🎀Hello!🎀
I am a gangle fictionkin!
A little about me:
I go by Arval or Gangle!
Pronouns:
🎀 Any! I am questioning so far, but I'm pretty sure I am a demiboy, or Bigender! I am omni - I prefer girls (to the surprise of no one hehe). I would prefer these pronouns in the following scenarios:
🎀 She/They: In Character asks/posts (e.g., Memories, vents, etc.)
🎀 Any: General posts (e.g., reblogs, rants)
🎀 He/They: OOC posts (e.g., Talk/posts)
Interests:
🎀 Deltarune/Undertale
🎀 Anything Glitch related (TADC, Murder Drones, Etc)
🎀 Weirdcore, Cottagecore
🎀 Gravity Falls
🎀 The Owl House
And much more. If I listed them off here, you and I would be here all day. Heheh
Fun Facts!
🎀 I often "Type in British" (Sorry if that's offensive!!); I type Colour instead of Color, Favourite instead of Favorite. It feels much more natural for me.
🎀 I'm friends with a Caine FictionKin! Their Tumblr is @caine-fictkin! Go check them out!
Well, that's it for now! Have a lovely day, everyone :)
hi!! I was just wondering if you are comfortable with doubles w/ fiction kinning as a gangle fiction kin myself
I was just thinking about posting about that!
I'm perfectly fine with doubles! I like hearing others experiences with things, especially if we have that thing in common! I call it Kin Twinning or just a Kin-Twin ;3
look up chuunibyou syndrome, because you reek of it
What the hell, dude? That's actually rude. These are genuine FictionKin memories. I'm not trying to be some 2018 gacha kid with a "Dark depressing past". Fuck you, dude. I'm not trying to stand out, it's called self-expression. Here's a description of FictionKins for you:
Fictionkin are individuals who involuntarily identify as a specific fictional character or a fictional species. Unlike standard fans who simply relate to a character, fictionkin believe they are that character on a deep, non-physical level.
To understand the subculture, it helps to break down how the identity works:
The Identity Component
They identify as the character rather than with them. For example, they might say "I am Legolas" rather than "I like Legolas".
It Is Involuntary
Members of the community state that they do not choose their specific character (known as a kintype). It is a persistent aspect of their identity.
Awareness of Reality
They understand they are physically human in this life and do not suffer from clinical delusions. They simply view their core self as existing beyond their human shell.
Why People Identify This Way
The reasoning varies heavily based on the individual, split generally into two perspectives:
1. Spiritual View
Many believe in the multiverse theory or reincarnation. They feel they lived a past life in a parallel universe where that fictional world was completely real. Some even experience "kin memories" or déjà vu.
2. Psychological View
Others experience it as a neurodivergent trait or a psychological coping mechanism to deal with trauma. Their brains deeply graft onto a character's traits, problems, and personality for comfort or survival.
The internet often confuses community terms, but they mean very different things.
Chūnibyō is an adolescent phase about playing a part to get attention and look edgy to others. Fictionkin is a persistent internal state of being about how someone understands their own soul or mind. Confusing the two completely erases the actual psychological and spiritual aspects of the kin community.
what the actual fuck?! Not only accusing someone of having a anime syndrome but also not having the balls to use your actual profile and be anonymous so you can diss someone, thats low. Also fiction kinning can be a literal spiritual thing and they can’t control it, i don’t know how this specific person fiction kins but I know that they don’t deserve to be talked to like that. also gangle-official you are super cool!

I'm inside my room, drawing, when Zooble arrives outside of my room, their voice muffled through the door.
Zooble: Hey... Gangle? Are you okay? You seemed kind of... Scared at Jax earlier. I know we haven't talked much yet, but... You can trust me. I'm good at keeping secrets.
Gangle: ... He's been acting weird since his fight with Ribbit.
Zooble: ...Yeah. can I come in?
Gangle: Sure.
The door opens, and my room is darkly lit besides the lamp on my drawing desk. My room is filled with dark red and black, a hidden compartment in my room containing my broken masks. For some reason, I had kept them. Who knows why. I'll be honest, I don't even remember why. I just know I did. The carpet is a middle-range grey, contrasting the rest of the room. The style was overall pretty gothic and/or fancy in style, but had small notes of other styles.
Gangle: I'm sorry, it's a bit of a mess in here. I... Don't usually let people in here.
Zooble: you're fine! My room's a disaster, too.
There was a moment of awkward silence.
Gangle: Y'know, it's good to see someone standing up to Jax. People usually just keep the arguments going. It genuinely feels like they last forever.
Zooble: I know, right!? Someone needed to put him in his place. He's a piece of [Boink!]. ...say, it seems like you're friends with Ribbit. Has she been acting weirdly recently..?
Gangle: Yeah. She usually comes over to ask for sketchbooks or see my art. She's been spending more time in her room since she and Jax had that fight last week. Something about a bow...? Anyway, Jax has been acting weird, too. He's more defensive. I swear he wasn't so rude before this. They must just be having a hard time.
Zooble: Well, hopefully this all blows over. Been wanting to meet this 'nice' version of Jax for months now.
We share a nice laugh and chat meaninglessly for a while.
Zooble: Wait- did you draw that?
They point towards my desk.
Gangle: Huh? Oh... Yeah. It's just a sketch, I don't think-
Zooble: No, nonono! It's really good! I love it! You're really talented!
Gangle: Oh, uh... Thanks.
Zooble smiles. The rest of the conversation is mainly meaningless banter before Caine calls us over for an adventure.
Gangle: Ah-! wh- Where am I? Why is it so bright?
Caine: Ah, another human! It's been a while since new humans have showed up!
Gangle: ...Huh? Why can't I take off the headset!?
Jax: Ha! Good luck trying.
Gangle: Wait... What's my name?!?
Caine: Not to worry, dear! Nobody can remember their name once they arrive here!
Jax: Hey, I know! What about Gangle?
Gangle: ...sure, I guess.
