So recently I made a post about Israel and Palestine (not new) and it's seen some people come toward it, but it's also given me some really fun asks which totally aren't insane:

these two people have some sort of misconception of me, so i'll just this out of the way here and now. I believe that Israel should exist, NOW I want this to be clear.

I do not support the state of Israel as it exists today, however I do think that some form of Israel should exist as should a Palestinian state. (personally a democratic secular socialist federation of Israel and Palestine would be the best case scenario in my humble opinion no matter how unrealistic.)

Now again I want to say I don't support the state of Israel but I also realize that some form of Israel should exist without the extreme reactionary politics which has birthed it and has been fueling this conflict.

I think that believing that some form of Israel shouldn't exist is very dumb and increasingly dangerous, it's something that many leftist have fallen into, you can not support israel as it exists but still want something better.
