From Beginner to Intermediate: an intense plan for advancing in language
Introduction
I've studied Spanish at school for 3 years and now I'm at a low B1 level. I can actually understand pretty well while listening or reading but I can't communicate fluently.
This plan will include vocabulary build up, some grammar revision, a lot of listening, reading and writing. And could be used for the most languages, not only Spanish.
Plan
Every day:
Conjugate one verb in present, past and future tenses
Make a list about 10 - 30 words long
Create flashcards with them and start learning them (I use Quizlet for flashcards)
Revise yesterday's set of flashcards
2-3 times a week:
Read an article or a few pages from a book
Write a few sentences about anything in your target language
Listen to one episode of podcast (at least one)
Once a week or every two weeks:
Watch a movie in your target language, preferably animated movie as the language used there is easier. You can watch with subtitles
Grammar exercises
Translate some short text
Once a month:
Write something longer, like an essay or report, on chosen topic
Additionally:
Talk to yourself, to your friends, to your pets
Text with someone
Look at the transcription while listening to the podcast for second time
Repeat what you hear (in podcast or movie)
Check words you don't know from the listening and reading
Read out loud
Listen to music in your target language - you can even learn the text and sing along
Watch YouTube in your target language
Change your phone language to the one you're learning
Think in you target language!!!
***This is very intense plan for self-learners, you don't have to do all of these things in the given time. Adjust it to your own pace. I'll try to stick to this, if I have enough time.***

took my final exam this week and all i did since then was napping... don’t know bout you, but being a functioning member of society doesn’t seem to be my thing

Despite being forced to stay inside my apartment, I luckily got my book mail before this mess started and I’m enjoying my currently readings all day long. I started with If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio, I wanted to take a break from classics and complex readings with a fast paced and intriguing mystery. I like underline and write down after sentences and words I’ve found fascinating and full of poetry for my own writing exercise.
my sketches of my favourite angel statues with a sepia fineliner.
studying made better with coffee, almond croissants and good company
WEEK 1 // very first week of college is done! it was okay? kinda fun? but i was more excited to work on my spreads (≧◡≦) finally, there is something to write about. i just couldn’t see why i should journal on my summer vacation when all i ever did was take naps, watch films and shows, eat, and just chill. i think it’s just a waste of ink lmao. my summer isn’t just exciting as yours, guys :-( but here i am again! trying out some new stuff, what do you think?
studygram // @studyathenus — i post some sneak peeks / behind the scenes!
Quarantine day: ??? lol idk
I have a 4000 word essay on expert forensic evidence due on Friday. And, I have barely started oops.
So what am I doing? Drinking numerous iced oat milk lattes.
should I post my bujo spreads?? I haven't posted any spreads since like.... October 2018 or something?

Lesson Twenty-Nine: To Try
Masterlist
Previous Lesson
안녕하세요 여러분! Today we are going to discuss how to say “to try (to do something).”
시작합시다!
-아 / 어 / 여 보다
In a sentence, if you want to say something like “I tried to...”, “I want to try...”, etc. you could use the verb ending -아 / 어 / 여 보다. You might recognize 보다 as meaning “to see.” The best way to remember this verb ending to me is like you’re trying to see what will happen when you try.
Example:
만들다 = To make
만들어 보다 = To try to make
저는 김치를 만들어 봤어요 = I tried to make Kimchi
Sample Sentences
“나는 딸기 케이크도 먹어 보고 싶어.”
I want to try the strawberry cake, too.
먹다 = To eat
먹어 보다 = To try to eat
먹어 보고 싶다 = To want to try to eat
“나는 야구를 해 봤는데 나에게는 너무 어려웠다.”
I tried baseball, but it was too difficult for me.
하다 = To do
해 보다 = To try to do
해 봤는데 = Tried to do (before) [Background information]
“샌드위치 가게에 가 볼까?”
Shall we try the sandwich shop?
가다 = To go
가 보다 = To try to go
가 볼까(요) = Shall we try to go / Should we try to go?
Korean Textbooks Master Post
Hello everyone! Here are some textbooks I had time to scan and upload (marked with an asterisk) or had found somewhere online. I hope you find something here that helps you! This post will be updated as I get more time to scan books, purchase more books, or if I happen to find more books online.
Can’t find the textbook you’re looking for on this list? Please feel free to hit up my ask! I may have it, but just haven’t scanned it yet.
