3 Dreams of Black (Chrome Experiment)

toio
Programmable robotics toy from SONY uses small minimalist blocks with personality, allowing to be creative with papercraft:
Another video here better presents how you can use a controller and even create your own sumo robots:
From Spoon & Tamago:
Build, play, inspire. That’s the idea behind Sony’s new toy for kids, designed to inspire a future generation of robotics engineers. Toio is the result of 5 years of research into developing a toy that’s simple enough for kids to use, but also sophisticated enough to create a figurative sandbox where kids can explore the inner-workings of robotics engineering.
Toio, at first glance, is stunningly simple: the core of the toy is just 2 white cubes with wheels. But don’t be fooled by their appearance. The tiny cubes pack a whole lot of tech. They respond to motion, are able to detect the exact location of the other, and can be programmed but also remote controlled.
You can find out more at the official Toio website here
Highly recommend following the Spoon & Tamago blog here

About a Theory of Graffiti
Installation by yang02 is a large plotter drawing machine that draws with water onto concrete blocks, with marks decided by an AI trained on graffiti marks:
[Extract taken from GQ Japan - online translation:]
“There is a style graffiti called” slow-up “that instantly draws pop shapes with a simple outline, but we gathered a lot of coordinate data of that line and learned machine learning that Mr. Keiko Sakamoto (Nihon Unisys) constructed I attempted to let the program learn the characteristics of the line and tried to make the line of modeling like slow-up to be autonomously generated on the device.I know well that many throw-ups drawn in town are watching But I feel that it is also the style of beauty, with its frequented formative features such as how to break the trends. The architecture of the database has been systematized in the writer. ”
… The point is based on a machine learning system (Artificial Intelligence) to learn how to carry a graffiti (an artificial intelligence), and the device is only generated by the water sensors, and the device is only in the world by the water sensors. It is said that if it was wet and wet and wet, it was a long way to make a fan of a fan.

Automato - TraiNNing Cards

Muscle-plotter: an Interactive System based on EMS that Produces Spatial Output
Telexistence
Physical Telepresence (inFORM Shape Display) 2014
Haptoclone (Airborne Ultrasonic Haptic Hologram) 2015
Supergraphics | Fardan Munshi
Supergraphics is a set of posters that visualize super human abilities in geometric designs.

An interface that invites you not demands you.
Machines that fit the human environment, instead of forcing humans to enter theirs, will make using a computer as refreshing as taking a walk in the woods.
