121 Hakim House - Architect's Apartment

Hello Simmers! I'd like to share an apartment build I made using the wonderful CC of @felixandresims and @harrie-cc. You can find the build on the Gallery, my Origin ID is Ganymede47.

You'll need most of Felix and Harrie's CC installed, which you can find on their website House of Harlix. I used all of their collaborations (Shop the Look, Orjanic, Livin' Rum, the Kichen, Bafroom, Tiny Twavellers, and Jardane). I used items from Felix's London, Colonial, Berlin, Paris, Kyoto, and Florence sets. From Harrie, I used Spoons, Brutalist Bathroom, Brownstone, Country, Halcyon, Stockholm, Porto, and Heritage. As you no doubt have noticed, I am terrible at taking screenshots. I wish I could be better at showcasing their gorgeous CC, but alas, I don't have a photographer's eye and my handling of the Sims Camera is so clumsy. Do forgive me!

I recommend installing TwistedMexi's TOOL mod and Better Build/Buy in your game before placing this apartment. You'll need to use TOOL to delete all of the windows and front door of the preexisting apartment (any tutorial on youtube will show you how to do this). Once you place the apartment in the game, I recommend turning on Delete Protection in your Better Build/Buy settings as you draw the missing walls over doorways. Delete Protection prevents the game from removing items placed off the grid using MOO and TOOL.

The office has a platform (shown above) which you'll need to recreate. Additionally, I made platforms for the shower and bathtub in the bathroom. I placed "Felixandre Berlin Glass Double Door Tall" in the white swatch as the front door to the apartment in the kitchen. The two kitchen windows are "Felixandre PARIS Window 3 Short" in the white swatch. All other windows are "Felixandre PARIS Window 3 Medium," also in white; use the curtains to determine the location of the windows.

I wanted to make an apartment for an architect, using the office items from Felix's Berlin set. Tried as I might to branch out into a different color palette, I simply couldn't resist using an abundance of greens, beiges, browns, and blacks, with a sprinkling of yellows here and there. No one does green better than Felix and Harrie! Obsessed.

The apartment is play-tested and everything works! If you have any difficulties installing the build into your game, shoot me a message and I'd be happy to assist, though I'm not the most tech-savvy person in the world. Eek! 19 Culpepper House - Explorer's Apartment

Hello again! I had two main sources of inspiration for this build: the new CC collections by @felixandresims and @harrie-cc, specifically the new Orjanic collection and the evergreen, ever beautiful Tiny Twavellers! You'll also need all of their individual CC sets, which you can find conveniently on their website HouseofHarlix.com. Thank you so much, Felix and Harrie, for outdoing yourselves on each new collection. I am in awe of your talents! Please support them on Patreon here and here!

The second source of inspiration was this build by the insanely talented Frambis, who deserves far more recognition! I'm terrible at floor plans, so I borrowed the template from Frambis's build with some slight modifications to make it more playable. I have copied some decoration ideas/furniture choices shamelessly, and full credit goes to Frambis's gorgeous vision, but I think the build is sufficiently different enough to stand on its own.

There are no special steps required for installing the build off the gallery. I have deleted all of the "Needs TLC" objects from this build. You'll need to restore the walls missing over the doors yourself and apply the right wallpaper. I highly recommend installing TwistedMexi's Better BuildBuy Mod so you can turn on Delete Protection when changing the wallpaper. Delete Protection prevents the game from deleting objects placed with MOO when you apply wallpaper to certain rooms. Otherwise, you may end up deleting a lot of the clutter! Likewise, be sure to extend the "Fence for Window Shopping" separating the kitchen from the living area.

I built this apartment for a couple who love archaeology and exploring in Selvadorada. It's a one bedroom, one bath, with an office (seen above). It's fully play-tested: every useable object in the game should function properly. You'll have to sit your Sim in the office desk chair before using the computer. I put plenty of gameplay objects in the game, including the massage chair, the archaeology table, washer/dryer, Felixandre's incredible piano from his Florence collection, a vanity mirror, flower arranging table and plant boxes on the patio, and even a punching bag!

I had such a blast decorating this apartment bit by bit over a few weeks. I hope you enjoy playing in it as much as I enjoyed building it! Please reach out if you have any problems installing it into your game. My Origin ID is Ganymede47.

2A Jasmine Suites - Chic and Feminine Witch Apartment

Greetings! I designed this one bedroom apartment for a Parisienne who happens to be a witch. I took full advantage of the gorgeous CC made by @harrie-cc and @felixandresims, among others. While I have uploaded the rooms to the gallery (Origin ID: Ganymede47), I wanted to share screenshots and provide instructions for how to download and install the build properly in your game.

This apartment uses a lot of CC. You will need the complete works of Felixandre and Harrie installed, plus all of their collaborations. Luckily, a lot of their items are conveniently hosted in one place: House of Harlix. Be sure to grab Harrie's Heritage Collection as well. The rest of Felixandre's CC can be found on his Patreon. In particular, I used a lot of items from the newer London, Florence, Paris, and Colonial sets. I believe I also used an end table from Harrie's newest Brutalist Bathroom set, which you can find on her Patreon.

To make the apartment feel witchier, I used the three items from @magnolianfarewell in their 2017 Secret Santa Gift. I also used a CC Séance Table from @lumenniveus, specifically the base game tablecloth version. I grabbed a recolor of the Realm of Magic cauldron from @bioniczombie. Last but not least, please install this decorative Chanel purse by KikoVanity. You don't require these items to make the build function properly; they are mostly decorative.

I also used TwistedMexi's TOOL mod to give the apartment a different front door, and I added two different windows from Felix's Paris collection to the bedroom using this mod. Unfortunately, you'll have to make these changes yourself when downloading the build, but the steps aren't too complicated, and I will show you how to use the mod to place these windows and door!

First, make sure TOOL is installed and activate two cheats: 'testingcheatsenabled true' and 'bb.moveobjects.' In Live mode, Shift+left click the red door to the apartment, and select 'Destroy Object (Debug).' Deleting this object is irreversible in your save file, so make sure you back up your game! Delete the windows in the bedroom as well using the same method.

Enter build mode, and construct a one-tile wall right in front of the door's former location. There should be just one tile of space between this wall and the wall where the recently deleted door was. Place the "Felixandre PARIS Boiserie Door Single" in the color swatch shown above in the newly created wall. Once you have added the door to this small wall, delete the wall. If bb.moveobjects is on, the wall should disappear but the door should remain.

Back in Live mode, shift+left click the CC door and select "T.O.O.L..." Then, click on "Move." Enter the coordinates shown exactly in the image above: 0, -1. Click "OK." The door should snap to the apartment wall. How easy is that? You'll use the same process for the windows in the bedroom. Create a one-tile wall right in front of the space designated for the window, leaving a tile in between your wall and the apartment's. Place the "Felixandre PARIS Window 3 Medium" in your wall (white swatch). Then, follow these pictures for the coordinates to move the window into the designated wall area, shown directly below:

For the second window shown above, it will most likely automatically slot into the bottom of the wall when moved by TOOL, due to the raised platform containing the bed (don't ask me why it does this!). Don't fret: simply shift+click the window again and select T.O.O.L..., then select "Elevate." Elevate the window by 1.5, as shown below:

You're all set! If the stairs to the raised platform with the bed get deleted while you "install" the windows to the wall, don't worry. Simply add them again: they are the "Mega Stairs (Basic)" in the white swatch. Likewise, some of the columns bordering the entrance to the kitchen may disappear; do add them again too!

I hope you enjoy playing in this apartment! It is fully play-tested and works like a dream. I want to thank the CC creators, especially Felix and Harrie, for inspiring me so much. I may post more CC builds on here in the future with instructions for installing them in your game; I detest how hard it is to upload apartments to the gallery! Argh!
