Haiiii Yukari!
There has been a, bit of a problem.
@utsuho-okuu-reiuji-offical
"oh, what seems to be the issue, little raven?"
"Hello there, new yokai, even if temporary, how are you?" [Asks a female voice behind you as a blond woman with powerful red eyes look at you with a mysterious smirk emerges from what can best be described as a gap in reality]
oh uh! i’m doing alright— how are you?..
you’re kinda.. scary but nice.
12/15
"Oh, I know I'm unnerving, but that's apart of my nature, dear, and I am doing fine myself, my name is Yukari Yakumo, the yokai of boundaries, and I was wondering if you wanted to take a small visit to the place that is home to most yokai, I think it would be good your health mentally and emotionally, as Gensokyo is beautiful, especially because spring is coming, the cherry blossoms will be blooming likely" [Yukari said with a mysterious smile as she opens a gap to gensokyo, holding her hand out in invitation]
that’s great… um..
i take her hand.
[You are pulled through the gap to a beautiful realm, the eastern wonderland's cherry blossoms currently in full bloom as the petals fall like a snow storm of pink inside this place, others are also here, looking happily up at the petals]
"My oh my, you seem rather interested in Fantasy, aren't you now" [Yukari states, emerging from a gap, her presence, unnerving, setting off instinctual red flags] @gap-hag-mischeif
…?
(Faust readies her Zweihänder, before connecting the dots.)
Are you… the person sharing the information of Gensokyo to me?
"Mayhaps, as i think someone like you could protect gensokyo's secret, and maybe begin to restore fantasy to the city, who knows, it may change the city, don't you think?" [Yukari smirks, holding out her hand for you to shake]
Interesting.
(Faust shakes Yukari’s hand.)
It’s Faust. And you are?
"My Name is Yukari Yakumo, but you have likely heard of me if you found other sources, no?" [The yokai asks, her presence growing thicker in the air.]
Mm.
(Faust lets go of Yukari’s hand and stands politely.)
…perhaps. Anyways, do explain what you mean by.. restoring fantasy to the city?
"The city is rather lacking in fantasy, and true dreams, none of the stories in the city are like the stories of hope and growth from the old, the idea of changing the city for the better is becoming a fantasy, a lie, to most citizens, so I would want to make things here change, as true hope could change things, don't you think?"

you've heard of "quiet quitting," now I'd like to introduce you to the next level, The French Work Ethic:
Do exactly what you're paid for and nothing more
Absolutely refuse to be available to contact when you're off the clock
Never prioritize work over your own health, wellbeing, or family because that would be insane, it's just a job.
Have a little glass of wine
Take as long as you feel like for lunch
Deeply understand that work doesn't matter
Make sure your boss your boss knows they're always your second priority ❤️
🗣️ Hey, young Americans:
Old Millennial American speaking here. I need you to adopt this mentality as early as possible and hold to it. The older you get, the harder it is to begin this practice and claw back the extremely unhealthy effects of a workaholic lifestyle. I am speaking from 20 years of experience.
This does not mean having a shitty attitude at work, or not doing your job, or relying on co-workers to carry your water.
This means you do what it says above. It also means not making work and productively your entire personality; not tying your productivity to your value; and not becoming so emotionally enmeshed in your work and workplace so that you are living and dying by what happens there.
Good luck out there. American workplace culture is mostly designed to work you to death. Moving against that tide can be challenging, so having a healthy mindset is important to living a life not consumed by your paid labor.
I’m starved of ways to torture these idiots. Excuse me.
Periodic reminder to not be afraid to send asks whenever, this applies to anyone
Please reblog this if it’s okay for me to just pop into your ask box to RP with you, even if you haven’t reblogged a meme, because I just want to RP with you
[Theres a tiny brick in your mailbox. you can see a miniature brick queen waddling away from the mailbox.] - @minibricks
[Yukari approaches it, and pats it on the head] "why hello there, how are you, little one?" [She asks, amused]
Haiiiii Yukari!
I made the Antimatter reactor thingy!
I also may have, uh, eaten a bit of the Antimatter brick out of curiosity.
@utsuho-okuu-reiuji-offical
"Oh, are you done already?" [Yukari asked, surprised and amused, yet slightly concerned] "and how did the anti-matter taste, and more importantly, did it affect you when you bit into it?" [She asks]
Scheduled post:
School has started surely this will not bode consequences with the multiplying Sparkle fumos
Who even gave those out??
[Yukari looks amused] "Indeed, I wonder who?"

How many worlds have you visited?
Do you have a favourite?
"I have visit many worlds, I may be biased, but I love Gensokyo the best, though i also find the city interesting" [Yukari muses]
A few days ago, actually, and a terrifying being known as Yukari Yakumo is the reason why.
... He remains quiet, head in hands.
"Why? Why do you all do such things? For amusement? Merely because you can? You can be kind, you know that right? It does so much more by being kind..." Seems you have mentally broken Pierrot in the moment.
"I did it because I can, and to remind Carmen about the good and bad of humanity, as the light isn't a good place to stay in all the time if you want to change the world for the better, after all." [Yukari said, emerging from a gap, amused]
"She's already suffered enough at the hands of humans. That much has been scarred into her very being." Was said, still sitting in his chair as his eyes flicked towards the person intruding in his room. "Must I remind you of the Well? Of the Bathtub? You assume she forgot that hell is paved with good intentions and vice versa. That humanity is both cruel and kind in equal measures."
"Now get the hell out of my room..."
Father?
"Sonyaaaa!~" Was said, the man quickly snapping back into a happy demeanor as his son appeared, quickly moving to give them a hug. "Oh I missed you kiddo! How have you been? I hope the work hasn't been too much for you and the others. I'll make you your favorite drink and we talk if you want. Or merely exist in the same place. Either is lovely."
that’s a façade if I’ve ever seen one
What’s going on?
"Ahhhh you're getting quick on picking that up... Just someone bothersome barging into my room is all. Not you though. You are ALWAYS welcome here." Was said, letting out a weak sigh as he gestured about the odd little room he called home on the bus. "I was merely telling them to leave."
oh, they better
hopefully it doesn’t come to violence
"I know! I would rather not have to get my hands dirty while you're visiting me, kiddo." Was said, nodding at the wise sense of it all. He clearly didn't want to fight at the moment, huffing weakly at the thought of fighting during a break.
"Still the same favorite drink or have you developed a new favorite since we've last seen one another?"
"If you could hurt me, I would be impressed, you do realize that while she has suffered, she also gets to truly talk with those she love in person again, as she wants family, she calls the distortions and the abnormalities her 'children, after all" [Yukari said, her eyes glowing slightly]

Hey Carmen while you’re in Gensoukyou, how about you try making some spell cards?
…My suggestion for one is Sun Sign: 「Alluring Voice」, featuring lots of those little people shaped bullets streaming in from the sides. At regular intervals you emit pulses that turn all the human bullets into a variety of other shapes that shower down more projectiles towards the opponent. Some human bullets instead turn opaque and block other danmaku representing the people who effloresce E.G.O. (boring, but you can’t win them all).
Spell Cards. . .?
Oh yeah. I don't believe I have enough power for those.
I did some looking around in Yukari's mind while she was in the light, (she no doubt knew about it)
And it turns out everyone in her reality is infinitely more powerful than I can comprehend and they battle heavily restricted so they don't destroy everything.
I simply don't think I could match that, and either way, I have no idea if reality would even allow for such a thing. I am but a scientist after all.
Maybe I'll ask Yukari about it the next time she comes around. . .
I'll keep your suggestion in mind.
While most of the residents are practically embodiments of singularities on a level of mastery that rivals arbiters their dueling system is designed to give everyone an equal chance to show themselves. Especially if you’re not trained in battle. After all, it was drafted after a, ah, bloodfiend killed a number of people; a rare but clear case of charity for the weaker.
It’s all art contests anyway like Cubist or Pointilist exposition galleries without anyone having to get hurt to make the exhibits.
Anything you see about them rivalling these “gods” alluded to by some of your children was a miscalculation based on how quickly a spell card actvates and changes its surroundings just like E.G.O.
A bloodfiend? They have those there?
Eh, doesn't matter. I see. . . So it's more of a game than a fight. That's nice.
I wonder how some of them got so powerful. An interesting thing it would be to study them. Youkai. Are there humans in Gensoukyou?
So far I've met. . . A youkai who can. . . What was it. . . Manipulate boundaries? Of anything? Including me? She must be a special case.
And someone who lives in the land of the dead. Probably also quite powerful.
"Correction, the correct term is vampire for that... uncouth, individual, and there are indeed humans in gensokyo, the majority of them living in the human village" [Yukari said, amused] "and also, I'm surprised you weren't driven mad by the... nature of my mind due to my existence, as you probably saw some... things, in there, no?" [Yukari asked with a cryptic smile]
Vampire? Ohh they must be similar to bloodfiends.
And wow! I would like to visit one. I don't believe I've ever seen a village before. Only the city.
Oh and. . . Yes. I am not sure how either. Maybe because I was still a concept then, there was no strain on any physical organ. But also, Im used to looking at one of my children, everyone calls it CENCORED simply because it's a cognitive hazard to see it.
Or maybe I've already long gone insane. Wouldn't that be something?
Since you're here, how does one make "Spell cards?"
"Various different methods, usually based off of something important to the maker of the spell card, for example, Cirno, a fairy of ice, themes her spell cards around ice based attacks or snow themed as well." [Yukari explained, pulling out a white board from a gap] "others use their abilities in their spell carss, like the human maid sakuya Izayoi, her spell cards usually have time freeze related in their attacks, alongside her knives" [She said, drawing a picture of one of Sakuya's spell cards]
