Making collages with vintage magazine car ads again. Always a good time.
Can’t stop making Stan Vanderbeek-inspired collages.
Wasn’t easy drilling through this driftwood slab at 45 degrees but stoked on the outcome. Another oar/ driftwood slab side table lamp made and ready to light up someone’s studio.
Not sure I’d drink the half & half contents but digging the yellow and black contrast on this one.
Not sure why but I find collage making wicked relaxing.
‘Cause I had the day off figured why not make a Polaroid collage featuring some random cig ad clipping from Playboy circa 1969 and a pic I snapped while camping at Joshua Tree National Park a few weeks ago?
Felt inspired to make a random collage with Life Mag clippings from 1970. Things were crazy then, just as they are today. Guess that’s just ‘Merica.
Completed another driftwood slab/ canoe oar floor lamp. Think I’m going to keep this one.
Haven’t posted in a while. This here is a rose tinted plexiglass bookshelf lodged into the side of a driftwood slab. Dig the color combo and extreme difference in material type.
Sifting through process photos of recently made creations and came across this ‘Roid collage I did in July. Background is NYC and cutout is from a 1962 Playboy.
Back makin’ stuff in the garage.
New technique to carve out the slot for the plexiglass storage unit that’ll eventually sit snug inside it.
Enlarged Polaroid collages always look extra trippy.
Thank goodness I don’t have a life — otherwise who’d make all these nonsensical Polaroid collages?
Hyped on how I was able to recycle these end cuts into a driftwood collage of sorts. Pictured above is one final glue up before a coating of spar varnish.
The more lottery tickets I buy the bigger these Bs get!
Finalized this Wharf Hippy Storage Unit (sideboard) by applying a mellow coat of spray poly. All of the found wood was sourced from the shores of Greater Boston Harbor.
